Apple’s new retail store in Saket, Delhi, is located in the Select Citywalk Mall and boasts a unique barricade design inspired by Delhi’s famous gates. However, the store is smaller than the recently opened Apple store in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, which reportedly has a higher rent based on a percentage of total sales or a minimum of Rs 40 lakh per month. The Saket store has over 70 skilled retail team members hailing from 18 different Indian states and collectively fluent in more than 15 languages, according to sources.

He confirmed this in his last Tweet in which he wrote” Hello, Mumbai! We can’t wait to welcome our customers to the new Apple BKC tomorrow,”. Apple in a closed media-only event informed that it has 100 employees at the BKC store in Mumbai who can speak 20 foreign languages and 50% of the staff is women. On top of it, the store will fulfill its demand for electricity through solar power which makes it a carbon-neutral store.

The presence of the CEO of Apple for the launch of this store reflects the importance of India for Apple. Apple will open its second store in Select City Walk Mall, Saket, New Delhi through the presence of Tim is not yet confirmed. Customers who visit the store will get a chance to experience Apple products, interact with the experts, and customize their device’s configuration. It can also be a point for users to exchange their old product or recycle it. This year would be Apple’s 25th year in India and over the years sales are going up. It might look forward to opening some the stores like this in India.

According to a report by Fortune, Amazon’s proxy statement for the previous financial year indicated that its CEO, Andy Jassy, earned a total of $1,298,723 in 2022, comprising a salary of $317,500 and additional compensation of $981,223. This represents a significant 99% reduction from his total compensation in 2021 when he was granted $212 million in stock options that would vest over the next decade. Amazon clarified that the 2021 award was intended to cover most of Jassy’s compensation in the coming years and therefore had no plans to grant him more stock options in 2022 or 2023.

It is worth noting that Jassy is not the only CEO of FAANG (FAANG is an acronym for five of the best-performing tech-centric stocks of the past decade: Facebook (now Meta Platforms), Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google (now Alphabet))companies (an acronym for Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google) that has recently experienced a reduction in pay.

Last year as we reported even Apple CEO Tim Cook also took a pay cut rather than firing the employees. Additionally, Google CEO Sundar Pichai is also reportedly taking a pay cut.

Here is the tweet he shared.

People with the most to teach live like they have the most to learn — and Steve loved learning. He was the most curious person I’ve ever met, which made him the best teacher I’ve ever known. Happy birthday, my friend. pic.twitter.com/J45swZfZQ8

Steven Paul Jobs, an American successful businessman, industrial designer, media mogul, and investor, was born on February 24, 1955. He served as the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple as well as Pixar’s majority shareholder, the founder, chairman, and CEO of NeXT, and the chairman and majority shareholder of Pixar after that company was acquired by The Walt Disney Corporation. Together with his early business colleague and fellow Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, he was widely acknowledged as a pioneer of the personal computer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s.

In October 2003, Mr. Jobs was diagnosed with cancer which later turned into a cancerous tumor in his pancreas. On August 24, 2011, Mr. Jobs announced his resignation as Apple’s CEO, writing to the board, “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come. “Jobs became chairman of the board and named Tim Cook as his successor as CEO. Mr. Jobs continued to work for Apple until the day before his death six weeks later on October 5, 2011.

Within minutes, the tweet was filled with comments of birthday wishes and people being grateful for Mr. Jobs’ contribution to the technology industry.

According to a new regulatory filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission(SIC), Cook’s pay will be reduced from $484 million to $49 million in 2023. Though there can be a number of reasons surfacing on the internet the sole reason for this is equity value adjustment.

In 2022 value of equity was $75 million but it fell to $40 million this year. As of now, reports have suggested that Tim will be getting $3 million in basic pay and a $6 million cash bonus each year. Due to the Covid disruption and iPhone production challenge in China Apple’s market cap has dropped $1 trillion.

Other than Apple a number of other companies are also facing challenges posed by the recession and Covid. Reports have suggested that  Amazon and Facebook parent Meta’s shares have also fallen by 50%and 63%.

The image shared shows Apple and Google (with an android brain) personified as people. Apple is shown asking Google, “Pass android features so we can add them in iOS”, in the picture. Google, then passes Apple a piece of paper only to be trolled, as the paper reads, “It’s time for Apple to fix texting.”

Some tweets have been praising Lei for his humor whereas, others are not really happy about the tweet.

Android, on its website, wrote about how Apple needs to fix its messaging features. The problem seems to appear during cross-device messaging, causing blurry videos, broken group chats, missing read receipts, typing indicators, and how the text goes green when exchanging messages with an Android user.

How did it start?

Last year in August, Insider reported that “iPhone owners have long blamed Android owners for difficulties when cross-device messaging. But yesterday, Google took the debate to the next level, placing the blame squarely on Apple.”

Google blames Apple for using age-old methods of sending text-only messages between devices. Google says, according to Insider, that Apple should use Rich Communication Services, a more modern means to share emojis, videos, and photos through text.

Android even started the help @apple#GetTheMessage campaign and asked users to share the message. Celebrities like Vanessa Hudgens have shared videos supporting the campaign.

When Canadian rapper, Drake, released his song ‘Texts Go Green’, the Google team interpreted it as a complaint against iPhone turning Android users’ text green. They even posted an ‘unofficial lyric explainer video’ on Twitter.

#TextsGoGreen hit us different, that’s why we had to drop this unofficial lyric explainer video #GetTheMessage 💚😏 pic.twitter.com/dPxt9yZjCG

Here’s What We Know

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook has now admitted in a tweet that Apple iPhones use Sony’s image sensors in the device. Even if there were a lot of talks regarding this, Apple had never confirmed it.

Tim Cook claims that Apple had been working with Sony for more than a decade in making the best image sensors for its smartphones.

Numerous reports on the Apple iPhone devices were published previously on websites like Wall Street Journal, iFixit and the Nokkei Asia regarding this.

This is the first time a person from Apple is confirming about its specifications. Usually Apple never reveals their phone’s internal specifications and thus the news is well shared.

The CEO of Sony, Kenichiro Yoshida, had also showed Cook throughout their Kumamoto facility. This indicates that Apple will be continuing their partnership with Sony.

Sony has also developed a new image sensor with a semiconductor architecture which will allow more light to enter thereby reducing the chances for underexposed and overexposed images. Most likely the upcoming Apple iPhones might have it.

In the Tweet, Cook has also expressed his gratitude towards Kenichiro Yoshida.

We’ve been partnering with Sony for over a decade to create the world’s leading camera sensors for iPhone. Thanks to Ken and everyone on the team for showing me around the cutting-edge facility in Kumamoto today. pic.twitter.com/462SEkUbhi

The post A Recent Tweet by the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook Confirms that iPhones Use Sony Cameras: Here’s What We Know appeared first on The Tech Outlook.

Cook introduced the Apple Watch Series 8, describing it as the “best Apple Watch lineup by far.” The Apple Watch Series 8 comes with an always-on display, new watch faces, and improved durability. It is water-resistant, dust-proof, and crack-resistant. Ovulation tracking is one of the new women’s health features.

Other new features touted by Apple include crash detection, which will detect if the user has been in a vehicle accident. A new gyroscope and accelerometer power it. Apple has added a new Low Power Mode to the Apple Watch lineup (Series 4 and newer) to help save battery life when needed. It will be accessible through WatchOS 8. q.

Apple Watch Series 8 will start at $399 (roughly Rs. 31,800) for the GPS-only version and $499 (roughly Rs. 39,800) for the GPS+Cellular version.

The Cupertino-based company is expected to unveil its next generation of iPhone models — comprising the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. While the iPhone 14 is not expected to come with noteworthy updates to its design, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models are tipped to swap the notch for a new “unified” hole punch and pill cutout. This would be the first major change to the iPhone’s display notch since it was introduced with the iPhone X in 2017.

Apple is also expected to release the AirPods Pro 2, a new model of its true wireless earphones. The new earphones, which are expected to succeed the AirPods Pro, are said to have a similar design while offering improved active noise cancellation and audio quality. According to previous reports, the earphones may also support MagSafe wireless charging and USB Type-C wired charging.

However, the feature that the company will be looking forward to the most to captivate customers will be the one introduced two years ago, 5G wireless.

Data have indicated that 5G wireless is becoming nearly as crucial in today’s iPhones as battery life and storage, the two features customers look most forward to when buying their phones.

The current wireless standard, which has been available for some years now from all of the major US carriers, is also the second-most cited reason people have told the researchers at the consultancy Deloitte that they’d switched mobile providers, behind better value for the money, World of Software reports.

Apple CEO Tim Cook is one of 5G’s biggest boosters, citing it nearly every time he has spoken about iPhones in public since the first offering of the technology with the iPhone 12 in 2020.

In July when discussing future prospects for his company’s handset despite rising inflation and a looming recession, he says that 5G has been an accelerant. He also thinks that there is a reason to be optimistic.
