The Tecno Pova 6 5G smartphone bears the model number of ‘KJ8s’ and it is the 8GB RAM variant of the device that has been listed on the Google Play Console database. Other key specs mentioned include the Android 14 OS, 2.20 GHz octa-core processor (model – MediaTek MT6833V/PNZA), ARM Mali G57 GPU, and 1080 x 2460 pixels resolution display.

To note, although the mentioned chip code points to the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip, this was later re-branded as the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chip in Q1 2023. Possibly, the latter would be used in Tecno’s Pova 6 5G model.

Speaking more, via other listings, more specs like a 5000 mAh battery backup, 33W wired fast charging, NFC connectivity, and 8GB/256GB storage option have also been revealed. Also, a week back, the Pova 6 5G was teased in Colombia, pointing to the 108MP main camera with 3x zoom capability, 120Hz display screen with Dynamic Port 2.0, 8GB virtual RAM support, and Black & White color choices.

Tecno’s Pova 6 5G smartphone will be joining the Pova 6 series as the fifth smartphone model. Previously the Pova 6 (4G), Pova 6 Pro (5G), Pova 6 Neo (4G), and Pova 6 Neo 5G devices were launched under the series. Based on all these recent listings and as it has already been teased, probably we may be able to witness the debut of the Pova 6 5G model soon.

Via the teaser videos shared, a few of its key specifications have also been revealed.

Tecno Pova 6 5G – Officially Teased for Colombian Market

The upcoming Tecno Pova 6 5G has been teased for Colombia, South America, and as per the shared teaser videos, this smartphone will be sporting a 108MP main camera with 3x zoom capability. It is also suggested to offer a triple rear camera system with two additional camera lenses too. For its display, it will feature a 120Hz display screen, along with Dynamic Port 2.0 support. A 33W wired fast charge support is also one among the key specs that have been teased.

Moreover, Tecno will be offering its Pova 6 5G device with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. An added 8GB virtual RAM support is also on offer. Two color variants will also be available for the Pova 6 5G smartphone – Black and White.

Speaking more, design-wise, the upcoming Tecno Pova 6 5G shows some resemblance with the already-launched Spark 20 Pro 5G. There are also some notable similarities in specifications too. Moreover, the four already-launched Pova 6 series smartphones – Pova 6 (4G), Pova 6 Pro 5G, Pova 6 Neo (4G), and Pova 6 Neo 5G can also be seen on the database along with the upcoming Pova 6 5G model.

Speaking more, a few days back, the Pova 6 5G made it to the FCC database, pointing out expected specs such as the 5000 mAh typical battery (4900 mAh rated battery), 33W wired fast charge feature, NFC connectivity, projected squircle rear camera module with a triple camera system, flat rear panel with seemingly curved sides, 8GB/256GB storage option, and White color choice. A rear panel design image was also shared via the FCC platform. Also, this device was certified by the Bluetooth SIG authority too, however, its Bluetooth connectivity version has not yet been revealed.

The upcoming Tecno Pova 6 Neo smartphone bears the model number of “LI6” and has been certified by the TUV Rheinland authority with the certificate number – “JPTUV-157197-M1”. Via the certification database, the device is revealed to pack a 6850 mAh rated Li-ion polymer battery and probably a USB type-C charging port. It is likely that the brand may market the Pova 6 Neo device as a 7000 mAh battery smartphone

The Pova 6 Pro 5G has been addressed with words like “Better”, “Faster”, and “Stronger”, and is going to arrive as India’s first 6000 mAh smartphone supporting 70W wired fast charging feature. It will also offer up to 24GB of RAM with the Memory Fusion 2.2 technology and will have an internal storage of 256GB.

Its official launch is scheduled to take place on the 29th of March 2024, four days later, at 12PM local time. The Tecno Pova 6 and Pova 6 Pro smartphone devices are in the works and by now, the two have received certain global certifications. While the brand has revealed to announce its Pova 6 Pro device at the MWC 2024 event, nothing official about the vanilla Pova 6 has been shared yet. However, both these devices are expected to launch with Dolby Atmos support.

The Pova 6 and Pova 6 Pro smartphones have now received the Declaration of Conformity from Europe. Following the Pova 6 Pro device, the vanilla Pova 6 model has also appeared on the NBTC database of Thailand.

The Pova 6 device bears the model number of – “LI7”, and the Pova 6 Pro device carries the model number – “LI9”. The European Declaration of Conformity means that both these smartphones have achieved the required health, safety, Article 3.1b, and radio standards. Also to add, both these smartphones are also now confirmed to pack a 6000 mAh battery with the model number – “BL-58FT”. The database also points to two charging adapters with model numbers – U700TKA and U700TEA, and the devices might be supporting a fast charge support of up to 70W.

Tecno Pova 6 – NBTC Certification

Coming to the NBTC listing, the Tecno Pova 6 device with the same model number of “LI7” has made it to the NBTC database and has been certified with the certificate number – “B38105-24”. This smartphone will be a 4G device and will only support 2G, 3G, and 4G network connectivity.

Speaking about some other updates, apart from the vanilla Pova 6 and the Pova 6 Pro models, the series also includes the Pova 6 Neo device. The Pova 6 and Pova 6 Neo were spotted on the European EEC certification platform as well, whereas the Google Play Console appearance of the Pova 6 Pro smartphone revealed some key specs including the Dimensity 6080 processor, Mali G57 GPU, Android 14 OS, 12GB RAM, 1080 x 2436 pixels display, along with its front image.

Tech brand Tecno has announced its partnership with the Dolby laboratories in order to provide the breathtaking Dolby Atmos spatial sound experience to its users. As per the announcement Tecno’s upcoming Pova 6 series will be the first to come with the Dolby Atmos. And the Pova 6 series will be launched at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona 2024. 

And following the Pova 6 series the Tecno Camon and Phantom series will come with Dolby Atmos, the announcement says.

Pova 6 and Pova 6 Neo – EEC Certification

The Pova 6 and Pova 6 Neo smartphones have been certified by the EEC certification authority with the notification number – “KZ0000007182”, and have been listed on the database with model numbers – “LI7” and “LI6” respectively. Their EEC certification will be valid till the 31st of December 2029.

Other than its EEC certification, nothing much about the two upcoming devices is known yet, and we will probably have to wait until more updates arrive. However, do note that the previous Pova 5 series only consisted of two smartphones – the vanilla Pova 5 and the Pova 5 Pro devices.
