The South Korean tech giant Samsung has finally unveiled its latest foldable devices- Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 globally as well as in India. Along with these smartphones the brand has also introduced Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Ring.

In this article we are going to share with you the detailed information regarding the features and pricing of Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Ring.

Galaxy Watch 7

Specifications & Features

The smartwatch comes in two dial sizes- 40mm and 44mm. The 40mm variant features 1.3 inch Super AMOLED display that offers 432×432 resolution. It weighs 28.8g and measures 40.4×40.4×9.7mm. It is backed by a 300mAh battery. The 44mm variant features 1.5 inch Super AMOLED display that offers 480×480 resolution. It weighs 33.8g and measures 44.4×44.4×9.7mm. It is backed by a 425mAh battery.

The smartwatch is equipped with a 3nm Exynos W1000 processor paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. It runs on Google’s Wear OS-based One UI 6 Watch. The smartwatch comes with new features like- Workout Routine that lets users combine different exercises and Race which lets users compare current and past performance in real time. It comes with fitness trackers such as heart rate, oxygen and sleep monitoring.

The smartwatch features AI algorithm for sleep analysis, offers Novo FDA-authorized Sleep Apnea tracking, real time alerts for abnormally high or low heart rates, atrial fibrillation monitoring and more. According to the company, the smartwatch will also provide users with electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood pressure monitoring. It supports WPC-based wireless fast charging. It comes with 10ATM + IP68 rating and MIL-STD 810H.

Pricing

Galaxy Watch 7 40mm variant will be available in Cream and Green Color options while 44mm variant will be available in Green and Silver colors. The pricing of this watch starts at $299 in US. While in India, 40mm Galaxy Watch 7 with Bluetooth is priced at Rs.29,999 while the Bluetooth and LTE variant is priced at Rs.33,999. The 44mm variant with Bluetooth will be available at the price of Rs.32,999 whereas the Bluetooth and LTE variant can be purchased for Rs.36,999. Interested buyers can pre-book the watch will get bank cashback worth Rs.8000 or an upgrade bonus worth the same.

Galaxy Watch Ultra

Specifications & Features

The smartwatch is available in a single 47mm variant. It features a titanium-grade frame and 1.5 inch Super AMOLED always-on display that offers 480×480 resolution and 3000 nits peak brightness. It is equipped with a 3nm Exynos W1000 processor paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. It runs Google’s Wear OS-based One UI 6 Watch. It is backed by a 590mAh battery that supports WPC based wireless fast charging. It is claimed to offer up to 100 hours battery life in power saving mode and up to 48 hours in exercise power saving mode. It comes with 10ATM+ IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810H.

The health and fitness features are same as that of Galaxy Watch 7. It comes with a new multi-sports tile that enables users to track multi-course workouts. It is equipped with functional threshold power (FTP) feature to measure maximum cycling power. The watch also shows personalized heart rate zones to help the user work at an optimal intensity. It also features a Quick Button to instantly initiate and control workouts, an emergency siren and a Night mode.

Pricing

It comes in three color options- Titanium Silver, Titanium White and Titanium Gray. In global markets, the watch is priced at $649 while in India the watch is priced at Rs.59,999. Indian consumers who pre-book the watch will get multi-bank cashback worth Rs.10,000 or the same upgrade bonus.

Samsung Galaxy Ring

Specifications & Features

This smart ring comes in 9 sizes with sizes ranging from 5 to 13. Users can find the right fit among the nine size options with the help of a sizing kit. It offers 8MB memory. It offers detailed health report with the help of Galaxy AI features like Energy score and wellness tips. The sleep AI algorithm delivers data about sleep patterns and build better habits. It provides sleep score, snoring analysis and sleep metrics to the wearers.

The ring can also track menstrual cycle by monitoring skin temperature. It is equipped with a PPG sensor that detects the irregular rhythms of heartbeats, temperature sensor and accelerometer. Galaxy ring provides instant notification about heart rates through Heart Rate Alert via Samsung Health app. Other than these health features, the ring can also be used to take photos, dismiss alarms on paired Galaxy smartphones.

It comes with 10ATM+ IP68 rating for water and sweat resistance. It has a titanium grade 5 build. The ring supports Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and can be paired with a Galaxy smartphone with Android 11.0 or above and a minimum of 1.5GB memory. In case you lost the ring, you can find its location via Galaxy smartphone with Find My Ring on Samsung Find.

Galaxy Ring with size 5 houses 18mAh battery while size 13 houses 23.5mAh battery. It comes in a specially designed charging case with LED lighting to indicate charging status. The charging case packs 361mAh battery and is claimed to offer up to seven days of battery life on a single charge.

Pricing

The ring comes in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold color options. It arrives at a starting price of $399 and is available for pre-orders in selected market while the official sale will start on 24^th July.

Samsung has already announced that the next Unpacked event will be held on 10th July 2024. Ahead of the launch event, we have spotted the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra on the Chinese TENAA certification website. Both are LTE variants, which I will discuss in more detail below.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 LTE variant Tenaa

First, let me start with the Galaxy Watch 7, which has been spotted with the model number “SM-L3150”. Although the moniker isn’t present, previous certifications have revealed that this model number belongs to the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 LTE. The TENAA certification further reveals that it will be powered by a 417 mAh battery and will also come with e-SIM support.

WCDMA Band, LTE-FDD Band, and TD-LTE Band will support it. Under the operating system, it shows Android. There won’t be a camera/video function, but it will support A-GPS, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and WLAN.

The screengrab from TENAA also reveals the design of this upcoming smartwatch, which is in line with what we have seen from the tipster Evan Blass. It shows a circular face with a green strap. We will likely see three colour options: grey, white, and forest green.

Previous SGS Fimco certifications have revealed that it will come with 10W fast charging. Both TENAA and SGS Fimco confirm that the battery size will be 417 mAh.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra Tenaa

The model number spotted on the TENAA certification is “SM-L7050”. Like the Galaxy Watch 7, it supports the WCDMA Band, LTE-FDD Band, and TD-LTE Band. Also, under the operating system here it also shows Android.

It is now confirmed that the Galaxy Watch Ultra will come with a 590 mAh battery. The earlier 3C certification revealed it to support 15W fast charging.

Design-wise, we will see a square-shaped face with three buttons located on the right edge, as revealed in some of the earlier leaks.

Samsung is gearing up for its next Galaxy Unpacked Event which is expected to happen in July 2024. And ahead of this event, I have something new to share. I have spotted the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Watch FE (WiFi variant) on the UAE’s TDRA certification.

Samsung Galaxy Watch FE (Wifi) TDRA

There has been a lot of confusion and speculation regarding the name of Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch. Previously, a reliable tipster, Max Jumbor, suggested that it would be called the Galaxy Watch 4 (2024) and not FE. However, another report claimed that the smartwatch would be named the Galaxy Watch FE and would come in two variants: LTE and WiFi + Bluetooth. According to this report, the model number SM-R861 would correspond to the WiFi variant, while SM-R866 would be the LTE version.

Now, it appears that the smartwatch will indeed be called the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE, as per the recent TDRA certification. The listing confirms that the model SM-R861 is the WiFi + Bluetooth variant of this smartwatch.

A few days ago, several devices appeared on the FCC, among them a device with the model number SM-R861. While the FCC listing did not confirm the name, but revealed it to come with a 5W Fast Charging support. Since it is going to be a repackaged version of the Galaxy Watch 4 from 2021, we can expect a 40mm and 44mm dial also.

However, both Max and the report by Android Headlines claim it to be a repackaged version of the 4-year-old Galaxy Watch 4. So it is likely it will carry all the hardware specs of that smartwatch.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra TDRA

The listing on the TDRA reveals that the model number “SM-L705F” will carry the moniker Galaxy Watch Ultra. Under the product type, it is listed as a GSM module, hinting that it will have cellular connectivity. Unfortunately, it doesn’t provide information on whether it will support 5G or only LTE. Beyond this, the certification does not offer much additional information.

However, it was recently reported that the Watch Ultra has appeared in a database with three different model numbers: SM-L705U (US), SM-L705N (Korea), and SM-L705F (Global) indicating different versions for various regions.

The ultra model is expected to boast advanced sensors for more accurate tracking of various activities. The smartwatch’s battery is also likely to be bigger than ever before. This is not the sole information surfacing on the internet, as a Greek news site suggests that this premium “Ultra” variant might be launched as the Galaxy Watch X. According to the report, the smartwatch can be water-resistant up to 100 meters and run for 100 hours. It is also expected to have a larger battery size of 578mAh, with a battery model number EB-BL705ABY.

Based on the information shared by the Greek news website, it will be called the Galaxy Watch X. However, a new listing on the TDRA has complicated matters. This either means that the info shared by the news website is incorrect, or Samsung may launch the smartwatch with different names in different countries.

According to this new information, the earlier leaked renders of the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra might actually belong to this Galaxy Watch Ultra. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 was spotted on Bluetooth SIG with the model number SM-L305U. Clearly, there is much more to come in the upcoming days, but for now, it’s important to take this information with a pinch of salt.
