Samsung Galaxy S23 FE – Snapdragon Variant Listed on Flipkart

Samsung officially debuted its Galaxy S23 FE device globally on the 4th of October 2023 and was made available in the Indian market both via its official website and on Amazon. In India, the Exynos variant of the device was introduced, which came in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB storage options priced at Rs. 59,999 and Rs. 64,999 respectively.

The Snapdragon variant of the device was only made available in the US market and was put up for sale starting from the 26th of October 2023. The Snapdragon variant also comes in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB storage options and is currently listed on the brand’s official US website for $499.99 and $559.99. The carrier-exclusive models are even priced lower at $469.99 and $529.99 respectively.

Now, the Flipkart shopping platform has listed the 8GB/128GB model of the Snapdragon variant in Purple color with a price tag of Rs. 56,500. The device is mentioned as “Sold Out”, however, the pricing seems to be inaccurate. To add, the 8GB/128GB Exynos model is now available on Amazon at its lowest-ever price of Rs. 45,998.

Samsung hasn’t yet officially announced the arrival of the Galaxy S23 FE Snapdragon variant in India, but it is being reported that the model will be released in the coming few days. The promotional banner which reads “The New Epic” has also appeared on Flipkart.

Samsung launched the much-awaited Galaxy S23 FE smartphone in October of this year in India. This smartphone was launched in Mint, Graphite, and Purple colour options. Now the company has unveiled special edition colours in Galaxy S23 FE. The special edition colours include Indigo and Tangerine.

Specifications of Galaxy S23 FE

It comes with a 6.4-inch wide Dynamic AMOLED display with FHD+ screen resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The camera section of the handset includes a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera and an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capability. The front side of the handset comes with a 10 MP camera.

The South Korean tech company, Samsung, has officially unveiled its latest FE series devices and the four newly launched devices will be made available soon, this month itself.

The newly unveiled devices, as such and within the Galaxy ecosystem, will be offering its users the best features to maximize both their creativity and productivity.

Galaxy S23 FE

The latest Galaxy S23 FE smartphone is pre-loaded with the Android 13 operating system and its chipset is made using advanced 4nm processing technology. Two storage variants will be made available – 8GB/128GB & 8GB/256GB. To add, the device will also receive four OS updates and five years of security patch updates.

The device is also featuring a Dynamic AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.4″. The display has an FHD+ screen resolution and supports a super smooth, adaptive 120Hz refresh rate(varying between 60Hz and 120Hz).

Coming to the cameras, the smartphone has a pro-grade rear camera unit sporting a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capability. At the front, the device also has a 10MP selfie camera too.

Regarding its battery, the device packs a 4,500 mAh battery supporting a 25W fast charge feature, with which the device can be charged to up to 50% in 30 minutes. Moreover, the device also supports Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare features as well.

Speaking about its other features, it has a dimension of 76.5 X 158 X 8.2 mm and weighs only 209 grams. It is a 5G device and will support 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network connectivity. Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+

Both the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ tablets are equipped with an octa-core processor and feature 10.9″ and 12.4″ LCD display screens, respectively. The devices will also be supporting a refresh rate of up to 90Hz.

The device also has the Android 13 operating system and just like the S23 FE smartphone, the two latest FE tablet devices have also been assured to receive four years of OS updates and 5 years of security patch updates.

The two tablets will also have two storage variants. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE will arrive in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB storage options, whereas the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ device will have 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB storage models.

About the cameras, both the models have an 8MP main camera at the rear and a front-facing camera of 12MP. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ tablet, apart from the main camera, also has an 8MP ultrawide camera at the back.

The two devices will also be backed by 8,000 mAh and 10,090 mAh battery, respectively, and will support 45W wired fast charging. To note, the 45W power adapter will be sold separately and won’t be available with the devices. The tablet devices also has a QC2.0 & AFC compatible wireless charging feature as well.

The Galaxy Buds FE earbuds has a dimensions of 17.1 x 19.2 x 22.2 mm weighing 5.6 grams each, and the charging case will be having a dimension of 50.0 x 27.7 x 50.0 mm with a weight of 40 grams. The device has a 1-way speaker along with three microphones on each of its earbuds.

Coming to its connectivity features, it supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Auto Switch. The device is also compatible with audio codecs like AAC and SBC, and also Scalable (Samsung Proprietary). The device is also equipped with sensors such as a proximity sensor, hall sensor, and also has touch controls. It can be paired with devices with an Android version of 8.0 or higher, and also with more than 1.5GB of RAM.

About its battery backup, the earbuds each have 60 mAh batteries, and the charging dock is equipped with a 479 mAh battery. With ANC turned on, the earbuds will be able to offer a battery life of up to 6 hours(expandable to about 21 hours), and while not using the ANC feature, users can get a battery life of up to 8.5 hours(expandable to about 30 hours).

As per the report this phone can be launched in the market in the US at a starting price of $599(around Rs 49,800). It also confirmed an earlier leak that said that Galaxy Buds FE can be priced at $99( around Rs 8,300).

Coming on to the specs report says that this smartphone can come with a 6.4-inch wide Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with a 60-120 Hz refresh rate and 1450 nits of peak brightness. The handset is revealed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in the US and Canada markets. This can be launched with up to 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Furthermore, it can also come with a Vapour chamber area of 4000 mm square.

As far as the camera section is concerned, the report mentioned that it can boast a triple camera setup on the rear featuring a 50 MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS support, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom and f/2.4 aperture. The front side of the smartphone can come with a 10 MP selfie camera. Additionally, it is also revealed to come with Gorilla Glass protection on display and comes in IP68 rated body. This leak is around the color options in which the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone can be launched in the market. MSPowerUser in an exclusive report has leaked a render of the phone that gives a glimpse of the phone’s color options.

It suggests that the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone can be launched in four color options including pearl white, black graphite, purple lavender, and olive. It was in late June 2023, more than two months back, for the first time we came across the 5K renders of the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE smartphone and in recent days, the render images of its front, rear, and side profile were revealed via its listing on the Chinese TENAA certification platform.

The 5K renders shared online featured the device in a white color, whereas the listing on the TENAA database portrayed the device in a Black color. The official render images that we have with us now, are the renders of the Black color variant.

The official render images of the smartphone align with the previous renders and as mentioned before, reveal a very similar design language when compared to the vanilla Galaxy S23 and S23+ models.

The S23 FE smartphone has a flat display with a punch hole centrally aligned selfie camera. The rear panel has three circular projected camera rings and an LED flashlight. Towards the bottom of the rear panel, the Samsung branding can also be seen. Coming to its side profiles, it is rounded and curved at the corners. The volume rocker and power button are on the right-side panel.

To speak more about the smartphone, the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE smartphone has already made its appearance on multiple databases including certification platforms like the above-mentioned TENAA, NBTC, Bluetooth SIG, GCF, BIS, WPC, 3C, and SafetyKorea certification platforms. The device was also spotted on the Geekbench database twice with both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and  Exynos 2200 chipsets and has made its way to the IMEI database as well. As far as its specs are concerned, two processor variants(Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200) are expected for the device, and it is likely to run on the Android 13-based OneUI 5.1.1 custom user interface. The TENAA listing revealed the device to have a RAM of 8GB and two internal storage options of 128GB and 256 GB.

Some of the other features that were revealed include a 6.3″ display screen, 50MP+8MP+2MP triple rear cameras, 10MP front camera, 4,370 mAh rated battery(4500 mAh), 5G network connectivity, under-display fingerprint sensor, 8.2mm thickness, and a 210 gm weight.

To add, the product page of the smartphone is also now live on the Flipkart shopping website of India with the tagline “Coming Soon”, suggesting that the device may likely launch this month itself.
