According to the README file included in the data leak, GhostSec discovered over 4TB of SQL databases during the breach, but the team’s presence was detected by the company’s intrusion detection systems and kicked off the network before the SQL data could be harvested.

GhostSec is involved in the Anonymous cyberwar against Russia and has released a report. Ghost Security, or GhostSec, is a self-described “vigilante” group that was formed to attack ISIS websites that promote Islamic extremism.
Anonymous has proven to be a very capable group, infiltrating some high-value targets, records, and databases in Russia.

The account also claims to have disrupted the websites of major Russian organisations and media outlets, including the energy company Gazprom and the state-backed news agency RT.

The list includes the names and personal information of soldiers ranging from privates to colonels. The majority of them work for the Russian Federation’s internal affairs and migration services.

Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, and on March 8, there was a humanitarian disaster in the captured towns near Kyiv – Hostomel, Bucha, Irpen, and Vorzel.

Bucha was liberated from Russian occupation on April 1. Anatolii Fedoruk, the Mayor of Bucha, announced on April 2 that nearly 300 citizens had been buried in mass graves and that dozens of corpses were lying in the streets, some with their hands tied. As of April 4, 330-340 civilians killed by Russians in Bucha had been buried.

On April 3, the Prosecutor General announced that 410 bodies of killed civilians had been taken to be examined by forensic experts from the liberated territory of Kyiv region.

Poland’s President Andrzej Duda stated that photos from Bucha show that a compromise should be sought at any cost, and US State Department spokesman Ned Price announced new sanctions against Russia.

The new Zurich Insurance logo is similar in design to the original, but it now includes the word Zurich in full rather than the capital Z.

The company explained its decision to temporarily remove the letter ‘Z’ from social channels where it could be misinterpreted, citing the Swiss insurer’s desire to avoid any misunderstanding because it did not want its logo to be misinterpreted as supporting Russia in the conflict.

It also stated that they are closely monitoring the situation and will take appropriate action if necessary.

The letter Z, along with the letters V and several others, was first seen on Russian military hardware in late February, when President Vladimir Putin launched a military offensive against Ukraine.

The letter has been adopted by Russians who support the war, with it prominently displayed on flags and at pro-Kremlin rallies, though no official comment has been made as to what these letters represent.

In Russia, some regional authorities have even displayed the symbol on vehicles, billboards, and even buildings as a symbol of support for the Kremlin’s actions.

Zurich Insurance announced earlier this month that it is ceasing operations in Russia, will not accept new domestic customers in Russia, and will not renew existing local business.

In January, the Swiss insurer withdrew from Russia’s Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project, fearing it would be targeted by US sanctions.

Images of captured Russian military hardware being towed away by tractors have become a daily social media feature. The most recent video shows a Ukrainian tractoir driver removing a Russian BTR-82A armoured personnel carrier from the battleground in Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Ukraine’s Territorial Defence fighters seized the vehicle.

Aside from the fighting, Bobitski claims that Russian troops are systematically destroying farms and farm equipment as they advance deeper into the country.

“One of the most horrifying aspects of this Russian war is that Russian troops deliberately target and destroy agricultural machinery in Donetsk Oblast, as well as near Chernihiv and Sumy,” Bobitski said. “They really pursue a scorched earth policy in terms of [Ukraine’s] agricultural facilities.”

Aside from the risks that farmers face as a result of bombings and missile attacks, Ukraine’s government claims that Russian forces have dropped landmines from the air over a large swath of agricultural land, making it unsafe.

Despite Rishi Sunak’s announcement on Wednesday that a 5p fuel cut would be implemented immediately, petrol prices have fallen by only 2.71p and diesel prices have fallen by 1.59p, according to the AA.

According to the motoring organization’s research, the average petrol price in the UK was 164.59p per litre, while diesel was 178.72p per litre after the government’s reduction went into effect.

This is a slight decrease from Tuesday, when petrol and diesel pump prices reached new highs of 167.30p and 179.72p per litre, respectively.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak announces a 5p per litre reduction in fuel duty.

Mr Sunak stated on Wednesday that from 6 p.m. that day, fuel duty would be reduced by 5 pence, which would be worth 6 pence once VAT was added, until March 2023.

“The chancellor rode to the rescue of drivers on Wednesday and, even before the 6pm start of the fuel duty cut, drivers were reporting the price cut at some Asda forecourts,” said Luke Bosdet, the AA’s fuel price spokesman.

“However, the average price of gasoline on Thursday showed that less than half (2.71p) of the fuel duty cut had been passed on to drivers.”

It comes after drivers have faced record pump prices as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which caused the cost of oil to rise.

The chancellor promised to relieve motorists’ burdens by announcing the largest reduction in fuel duty rates “ever.”

“Today, I can announce that fuel duty will be reduced for the second time in 20 years,” he told MPs on Wednesday.

Israel feared that selling the cyberweapon to adversaries of Russia would damage Israel’s relationship with the Kremlin, they said. Pegasus is spyware developed by the Israeli cyber-arms company NSO Group that can be covertly installed on mobile phones running most versions of iOS and Android. Pegasus is a so-called zero-click hacking tool, which means it can stealthily and remotely extract everything from a target’s mobile phone, including photos, contacts, messages, and video recordings, without the user having to click on a phishing link to give Pegasus remote access. It can also turn the mobile phone into a tracking and secret recording device, allowing the phone to spy on its owner.

Israel Fears of Russia’s reaction

Both Ukraine and Estonia had hoped to buy Pegasus to gain access to Russian phones, presumably as part of intelligence operations targeting their increasingly menacing neighbor in the years before Russia carried out its invasion of Ukraine.

Israel has so far refrained from joining other nations in imposing sanctions against Russia over its attack on Ukraine. Israel’s relationship with Russia has come under close scrutiny since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began several weeks ago, and Ukrainian officials have publicly called out Israel’s government for offering only limited support to Ukraine’s embattled government and bowing to Russian pressure. According to the sources, “Israel feared that granting Ukraine the ability to target Russia-based mobile phone numbers through Pegasus would be viewed as an act of aggression against Russian intelligence services”, said the Guardian.
