Xiaomi is nowadays gearing up for the 2024 annual Xiaomi Fan Festival(XFF) that it recently announced. The event takes place on the company’s founding anniversary and is a celebration between Xiaomi and its fans. This year’s event theme will be “Our iconic moment”. The company’s recent X post reveals that it will have a special edition of Redmi Buds 5 Pro, Redmi Watch 4, and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G smartphone.

As per the video, the earbuds can come in lavender colour, a smartwatch with a yellow colour band, and a silver colour frame. The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G can come with a silver back. The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G smartphone features a 6.67-inch wide curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and support for 120Hz refresh rate. In the camera section, it has got a triple camera setup on the rear featuring a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 primary sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP macro lens. The front side of the smartphone has a 16MP selfie camera. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset paired with Mali G610 MC4 GPU. It is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.

If I talk about the availability, there is no word from the brand now about in which countries it will be available. But, hopefully that information will soon be released.

Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 13 5G series of smartphones in India after launching it in China. Now the company has launched the series at a global launch event in Bangkok, Thailand. This series was also launched for the Philippines market on the same day.

Along with this series, the company also launched the Redmi Note 13 4G series, Redmi Watch 4, and Redmi Buds 5 series.

Redmi Watch 4 smartwatch

The Redmi Watch 4 smartwatch features a 1.97-inch AMOLED display. It comes with an aluminum alloy middle frame and a functional stainless steel rotating crown. It also features a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor for heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring.

Moreover, users get more than 150 sports modes, six automatically recognized activities and Bluetooth calling. It has been launched in Silver Grey or Obsidian Black Bezel, Pastel Purple, Dark Cyan, or Mint Green colored straps. It has been priced at $107.

Redmi Buds 5 series

The Redmi Buds 5 series comprises Buds 5 and Buds 5 Pro with the same in-ear design, a stem, and silicone tips. It features an ear-detection feature that pauses the playback as soon as the earbuds are removed.

The earbuds come in an IP54-rated body. The Redmi Buds 5 is equipped with the 12.4mm titanium plated drivers while the Pro variant is equipped with the 11mm.

Both models come with three levels of active noise cancellation up to 52dB and 46dB respectively and three transparency modes.

The Buds 5 are equipped with two microphones and the Pro model is equipped with the three microphones. For seamless connection, the Redmi Buds 5 series comes with Bluetooth v5.3. Both of the earphones are claimed to offer playtime of 10 hours and 40 hours with case.

It has been launched in Black, White, and Sky Blue colour. As far as price is concerned the standard model is priced at $46 while the Pro model is priced at $78.

The Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, Xiaomi, has already launched its Buds 5 series (comprising of the Buds 5 and Buds 5 Pro earbuds) and the Watch 4 smartwatch in the Chinese market. These three newly launched Redmi branded devices have now been confirmed to make their way to the global market as well and will be released alongside the Redmi Note 13 series on the 15th of January 2024.

To add, very recently Xiaomi introduced three of its Redmi Note 13 5G series smartphones in India (debuted in China before), and the devices will be put up for their official sale four days later on the 10th of January 2024.

Redmi Buds 5

The Redmi Buds 5 earbuds have an ergonomic design with a pair of 12.4 mm drivers and two microphones. The device supports features like three-level noise reduction, transparency mode, four-speed EQ sound adjustment, active noise reduction of 46dB, wide-band noise reduction range of 2kHz, a self-developed anti-wind noise algorithm, and Bluetooth connectivity of version 5.3. It packs a total battery charge of 40 hours, and a quick charge feature (5 minutes = 2 hours of listening time).

Redmi Buds 5 Pro

The Redmi Buds 5 Pro features a porcelain coaxial dual unit with an 11mm larger titanium plated woofer and a 10mm thinner piezoelectric ceramic tweeter. Other features on the device include 52dB noise reduction depth, 4kHz ultrawide noise reduction range, 20Hz-40000Hz ultra-high bandwidth range, 3-mic AI call barrier reduction, LHDC 5.0, Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, Low Energy Bluetooth audio, 49ms full-link low latency, and Xiaomi HyperConnect cross-device support. A total battery life of up to 38 hours is assured and the quick charge feature (5 minutes = 2 hours listening time).

Redmi Watch 4

The Redmi Watch 4 has a 1.97″ display screen (square in shape), and a frame made of aluminum alloy (with a stainless steel rotating crown). It is powered by Xiaomi HyperOS and has features such as cross-terminal intelligent connection, focus reminder, and multi-system adaptation. Customizable screen dials, 200+ watch faces, and quick-release wristbands are a few other specs. 150+ sports modes, multiple health features, Bluetooth calling, and multifunctional NFC offline payment are also part of the device. A 20-day battery life is claimed for the smartwatch.

Xiaomi at the recently conducted launch event had unveiled many of its latest devices, most of them under the Redmi branding. Three of the devices that were unveiled at the event are the Redmi Watch 4 smartwatch, Redmi Buds 5 Pro earbuds, and the Redmi Book 2024 laptop.

Redmi Watch 4

The Redmi Watch 4 features a 1.97″ square-shaped display and has an aluminum alloy frame along with a stainless steel rotating crown. It also has 200+ watch faces, customizable screen dials, new quick-release wristbands, and is 5ATM waterproof.

The smartwatch is powered by Xiaomi’s HyperOS and comes with features like focus reminder, cross-terminal intelligent connection, and multi-system adaptation(Android & iOS). More than 150 sports modes are also supported on the device, which also includes an independent GNSS outdoor running mode.

Health side, it has a new 4-channel PPG sensor and offers a 24/7 heart rate monitor, blood oxygen level monitor, sleep-stress monitor, breathing training, and a women’s health tracker. Bluetooth calling and multifunctional NFC offline payment are some of the other features.

Regarding its battery life, the device will be able to offer a battery life of 20 days, and it has a system-level battery life optimization feature.

Coming to its price, the smartwatch is priced at CNY 499 in the Chinese market and is currently made available for purchase.

Redmi Buds 5 Pro

The Redmi Buds 5 Pro earbuds have a porcelain coaxial dual unit featuring an 11mm extra large titanium plated woofer and a 10mm ultra-thin piezoelectric ceramic tweeter. It has an ultra-high bandwidth range of 20Hz-40000Hz. The earbuds also support LHDC 5.0 and are Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified.

Speaking about its noise reduction features, the earbuds have a 52dB maximum noise reduction depth and a 4kHz ultrawide noise reduction range. The device will thus be able to offer a 30% better noise reduction and has features like intelligent active surrender, ear-canal adaptive lowering, monaural detachment, three-finger transparency mode, and a 3-mic AI call barrier reduction.

Coming to its battery life, the Redmi Buds 5 Pro will offer a playtime of 10 hours on the earbuds with a single charge, which can be expanded to up to 38 hours with the charging dock. The earbuds also support quick charge, and a 5-minute charge will be equal to 2 hours of listening time. Also to add, the device supports Low Energy Bluetooth audio, 49ms full-link low latency, and will be able to connect with the Xiaomi Headphones App, and also with Xiaomi HyperConnect for a cross-device experience.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Buds 5 Pro has three color variants – Blue, White, and Black, and is priced at CNY 399 in China. It is now on sale.

The earbuds also have an E-Sports/Gaming version with a price tag of CNY 499, featuring a Black – Fluorescent Orange dual-tone color. It supports 20ms ultra-low latency, game space audio, and lossless audio. The pre-bookings are live and they will be officially made available on the 5th of December 2023, at 10 AM local time.

Redmi Book 2024

The latest Redmi Book 2024 comes in two display screen sizes – 14″ and 16″, and supports 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and is TUV Rheinland certified. The 14″ display has a 2.8K resolution and a 300 nits brightness, whereas the 16″ display offers a resolution of 2.5K and a brightness rate of 400 nits. Speaking of the dimensions, both the display variants are 15.9 mm thin, weighing 1.37kg and 1.68kg respectively.

About its build, it has a flagship quality aluminum alloy frame and a CNC metal shaft, along with a reinforced design for the entire fuselage. The device has also passed 5 major flagship test standards and 110,000 hours of software stability tests.

It is powered by the 13th Gen Intel 13500H processor and has an LPDDR5 dual channel memory. The device will also offer a file transfer speed of 6400MT/s and comes with a fast charge support of up to 47W. Dual fans and dual 8mm heat pipe again assure a stable performance on the device. With Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, many cross-device features can also be accessed by its users.

Finally, coming to the price, the 14″ display variant is currently on sale and is available in two storage options – 16GB/512GB & 16GB/1TB with prices of CNY 4199 and CNY 4499. The 16″ display variant has pre-sale open and is to be made available on the 1st of December, early next month. It will also come in 16GB/512GB & 16GB/1TB storage options, priced at CNY 4399 & CNY 4699, respectively.

Redmi has confirmed some of the key details of its upcoming smartphone Redmi K70 Pro including its display specifications. Now the company has dropped detailed specs of not one but two upcoming products. Let’s see them one by one.

Redmi K70 specs confirmed by Redmi

As per the Redmi recent post on Weibo the Redmi K70 will feature the same second-generation high-end 2K Chinese OLED screen jointly developed with TCL Huaxing featuring C8 luminescent material that consumes less power.

It features 4000 nits of peak brightness, supports 3840 Hz PWM high-frequency dimming, 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and 12-bit 68.7 billion colors. It also comes with TUV Rheinland eye protection. As per the Weibo post, the handset is confirmed to come with a Light and Shadow Hunter 800 image sensor.

The handset is confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and features stereo dual speakers, infrared remote control, and multifunctional NFC. In terms of design, it is announced to come with customised high transparency glass back with metal mid-frame.

As we mentioned above this is not the only product that Redmi has revealed, there is also a Redmi Book 16(2024) that will be launched tomorrow alongside the Redmi K70 series.

As per the company the Redmi Book 16(2024) will come with a Full metal body and it is thin as 15.9 mm and weighs 1.68 Kg. For better heat dissipation it is equipped with dual fans and dual 8mm heat pipes. As far as battery is concerned it is backed by a large 72Wh battery that offers 16h local video playback and will come with a 100W GaN adapter for charging.

Earlier the company confirmed that it will be powered by a Core i5-13500H processor that features 12 cores with 16 threads and a turbo boost frequency of up to 4.70 GHz. It will come with flagship-level LPDDR5 6400MT/s memory.

As of now the company only teased about the Redmi Buds 5 Pro earbuds that will be launched tomorrow but just recently it revealed that it will also launch the eSport version of Redmi Buds 5 Pro earbuds for passionate players. It will feature 20ms low latency and video synchronization.
