Xiaomi has officially unveiled two of its Redmi 13C series smartphones in the Indian market. The two latest devices – Redmi 13C & Redmi 13C 5G, will be put up for sale this month itself.

Redmi 13C

The Redmi 13C device is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and is coupled with up to 16GB of RAM(8GB virtual) and 256GB of storage. It features a 6.74″ HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. At the back, the device also has a 50MP AI triple camera unit with macro capability. It packs a 5000 mAh battery and supports an 18W USB type-C fast charge feature. Other features are the splash & dust resistant body, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and quick unlock fingerprint scanner.

The device comes in three storage options – 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, & 8GB/256GB, and are priced at special launch prices of Rs. 7,999, Rs. 8,999, & Rs. 10,499, respectively. With the ICICI Bank discount, a Rs. 1,000 off can also be availed. Customers will be able to pick the smartphone in two colors – Starshine Green & Stardust Black. The sale of the 13C smartphone will begin on the 12th of December 2023, at 12PM noon, and will be made available via mi.com, amazon.com, & also through Xiaomi Retail.

Redmi 13C 5G

The Redmi 13C 5G smartphone features a Star Trail design and has the same 6.74″ HD+ display supporting a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ chipset and has RAM of up to 16GB(8GB virtual). The device also supports UFS 2.2 storage of up to 256GB. It also sports a 50MP dual camera unit with 7 classic filters and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with USB type-C 18W fast charge support. The splash and dust-resistant body, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and the quick unlock fingerprint sensor are some other features of the smartphone.

The 5G model also comes in the same three storage options of 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, & 8GB/256GB, with special launch prices of Rs. 9,999, Rs, 11,499, & Rs. 13,499, respectively. It will be offered in three color choices – Starlight Black, Startrail Silver, & Startrail Green. The sale of the device will be from the 16th of December 2023, at 12PM noon onwards. It will be available on mi.com, amazon. in, and via Xiaomi Retail. The Rs. 1,000 ICICI bank discount and the Xiaomi Easy Finance at Rs. 999 per month are also available with the smartphone.

Also, the Indian launch video of the Redmi 13C series was entirely shot on the latest Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G device, and it has been officially revealed that it will be making its way to the Indian market in January 2024, next month.

Xiaomi’s Redmi 13C smartphone has now received the TDRA certification with the type approval code of “RGQL/66F/1023/S(23-4649)”, and has appeared on the certification database with the model number –  “23106RN0DA”. Its SIRIM certification will be valid till the 16^th of October 2028.

The smartphone had previously been listed on the TDRA and EEC certification platforms as well with this same model number. The device has also been certified by the BIS certification authority of India, and has also appeared on the GSMA IMEI database. To add, its rebranded version, the POCO C65 smartphone, has also been unveiled in the global market.

The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi, has officially introduced its Redmi 13C smartphone globally. The newly unveiled smartphone will be made available in three storage options and four color choices.

Redmi 13C – Introduced Globally

Xiaomi’s latest Redmi 13C smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor with a primary clock speed of 2.00 GHz, and is integrated with the Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The device runs on the MIUI 14 custom skin based on the Android 13 operating system, and comes in three storage options – 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB.

For its display, the smartphone features a 6.74″ dot drop display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a screen density of 260 PPI. The display also supports a brightness rate of 450 nits, refresh rate of 90Hz, and DC dimming. Moreover, the display is also TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free certified.

Coming to its cameras, it sports a triple camera unit, housing a 50MP main camera, 2MP macro camera, and an auxiliary lens. For selfies, the smartphone also has a front-facing camera of 8MP too.

Regarding its battery, the smartphone packs a 5000 mAh decent battery, and supports a fast charge feature of up to 18W. The charging port notably is also a USB type-C port.

Some of its other key specifications are 4G network connectivity, Wi-Fi with dual band support(2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, 8.09 mm thickness and a weight of 192 gm.

The latest Redmi 13C smartphone will be having four color choices – Midnight Black, Navy Blue, Glacier White, and Clover Green. In the Nigerian market the 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB storage variants have been introduced with price tags of N98,100(~INR 10,168), N108,100(~INR 11,205), and N121,000(~INR 12,542), respectively. The device might soon be made available in other global markets as well.

Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone Redmi 13C design and specs have already been leaked through its live image. This smartphone has also bagged certification from Indian BIS, TDRA, TKDN, and GSMA IMEI. Recently Xiaomi asked its Nigerian users to solve the riddle and guess the name of the handset that it’s talking about in an X post. Now finally the company has announced that it is talking about the Redmi 13C.

The company wrote on X that the Redmi 13C is coming and will bring more colors, fresh styles, and much more. However, the company remained tight-lipped about its launch date in the market. It has shared some images of the Redmi 13C that give an idea of how it will look.

As seen in its leaked live images the image reveals that the handset will come with a water drop notch display. Another image shared with the post reveals that it will come in four colour variants including Black and light green as seen in leaked images.

Its listing on certification bodies and the official announcement of Xiaomi Nigeria X account collectively point towards its near-global launch in the market.

The Redmi 13C smartphone will feature a 6.74-inch wide 90 Hz panel. It will be powered by an octa-core processor. It is confirmed to sport a 50 MP main camera and will be backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W wired fast charging.

Xiaomi’s Redmi 13C smartphone has made its appearance on the TDRA database with the model number – 23106RN0DA, and has been certified with the equipment registration number of ER25516/23. It has been categorized as a mobile phone, and its certification will be valid till the 24th of October 2026.

Previously, the smartphone was also certified by the TKDN and EEC certification authorities, and was listed on the IMEI database. Its rebranded version, the POCO C65 smartphone, has also received various certifications like the TKDN, EEC, IMDA, and FCC certifications.

Very recently the live images of the Redmi 13C smartphone along with its retails box were shared, and some of its specifications have been revealed. To note, the renders of the device were also leaked before.
