Realme, one of the leading Chinese consumer electronics maker, following the launch of the Realme 12 Pro series has unveiled its latest Realme 12 series devices comprising of the Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G smartphones in India. The first sale of the two devices will be taking place from today.

Realme 12 Series

Realme 12 5G

The Realme 12 5G is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ 5G processor and runs on the brand’s Realme UI 5.0 custom skin based on Android 14 OS. The ARM G57 MC2 GPU is present within the device and customers will be able to get it in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB storage options.

For its display, the device has a 6.72″ large display panel with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels(FHD+) and a 120Hz refresh rate support.

At the rear, the smartphone sports a 108MP dual rear camera setup with an additional 2MP portrait lens. For selfies, an 8MP AI front camera is present.

The device is backed by a 5000 mAh battery for a decent battery life, and it supports a fast charge feature of up to 45W.

Some of its other key specs are 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual band support, Bluetooth 5.2, side-mounted fingerprint reader, 7.69mm thickness, and 188 gm weight.

Realme 12+ 5G 

The Realme 12+ 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset and has the Realme UI 5.0 custom skin onboard based on the Android 14 operating system. The device is also integrated with the Mali-G68 MC4 GPU and comes in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB  storage options.

Its display is an AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.67″, resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, and a refresh rate support of 120Hz.

Coming to the cameras, there is a 50MP(main, wide) + 8MP(ultrawide) + 2MP(macro) triple camera unit at the rear and a 16MP AI front-facing camera for selfies.

Regarding the battery, it will have a total capacity of 5000 mAh and for a faster charging experience, the device supports a 67W fast charging feature.

Other key specs include 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6 (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.2, in-display fingerprint scanner, 7.9mm thickness, and 190 gm weight.

Price and Availability

The vanilla Realme 12 5G smartphone is priced Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant, whereas the 8GB/128GB model has a price tag of Rs. 17,999. It will have Woodland Green and Twilight Purple color choices.

The Realme 12+ 5G starts at Rs, 20,999 for the 8GB/128GB model and the top-end 8GB/256GB variant goes up to a price of Rs, 21,999. Navigator Beige and Pioneer Green are the two available colors.

The first sale of the two latest Realme devices will be starting place today on the 6th of March 2024 at 3PM local time till 11:59PM on the 10th March 2024. During this period, the Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G will be available for as low as Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 18,999 starting prices with offers respectively.

The Chinese smartphone brand Realme has today officially launched it’s latest Realme 12+ and Realme12 Pro+ smartphones in Indonesia. Let’s take a look at the specs and pricing details of these newly launched devices.

Realme 12+ 5G

Specifications

The smartphone features 6.67 inch E4 AMOLED display that offers FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits peak brightness and Rainwater Smart Touch display. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC that is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It runs on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14.

The device packs up a 50MP Sony LYT 600 sensor with OIS, an 8MP Ultra wide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. While on the front it features a 16MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 5000m Ah battery that supports 67W SuperVOOC charging. Other features include- a stereo speaker with Hi-Res audio, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IP54 rating, and 8GB dynamic RAM.

Pricing

The device arrives in Pioneer Green and Navigator Beige color options. It is priced at Rp 3,999.000. The flash sale for the device will start from 3^rd March while the open sale will start from 8^th March.

Realme 12 Pro+

Specifications

The Realme 12 Pro+ 5G smartphone features a 6.7-inch wide OLED display that offers FHD+ resolution with up to 120 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It also offers 12GB Dynamic RAM.

In the camera section, the smartphone comes with a 50 MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, 64MP OmniVision OV64B sensor with OIS, 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera sensor. The front side of the smartphone comes with a 32 MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 67W SuperVOOC charging.

Pricing

It will be available in two storage configurations- 8GB/256GB priced at Rp 5,599.000 and 12GB/512GB variant priced at Rp 6,599.000. The flash sale for the device will start on 3^rd March and the open sale will start from 8^th March.

The Chinese consumer electronics maker, Realme, had already revealed that the brand’s latest Realme 12+ 5G device will be launching in the Indian market early next month and as was earlier tipped, the vanilla Realme 12 5G will also debut on the same day itself. The pre-booking for the two devices will be starting today.

Realme 12 5G Series – Launch Date and Pre-Booking

Realme’s 12 5G series consisting of the Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G devices will officially be launched in India on the 6th of March 2024 at 12PM noon and the devices are going to be Flipkart Unique products priced under Rs. 20,000. The pre-booking for the two will be live from 2PM today and the Flipkart launch page which points to some of the key specifications of the series is currently live.

The Realme 12 5G series will be featuring the first ever flagship luxury watch design in the segment, and the design is the collaborative effort of Realme Design Studio and Ollivier Savéo (the International Luxury Watch Designer). The design elements include a golden fluted bezel, polished sunburst dial, and premium vegan leather back.

The first Sony LYT-600 OIS camera in the class for pro-quality photos is also part of the series. Camera features include cinematic-grade photos with cinematic portrait mode, superior HDR & nightscape in the price segment, and 2x in-sensor zoom capability.

On the performance side, the best 5G chipset of the segment – the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G processor is also a part of the series. This processor is a 6nm chipset that supports Smart 5G connectivity and ultra-low power consumption.

An AMOLED display panel is also part of the series and it will be the series’ best-in-class rainwater touch display. A refresh rate support of 120Hz and an in-display fingerprint scanner are also part of the display.

The tipster has also mentioned the specs of the device as per which Realme 12+ 5G is expected to include- 6.67 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 7050 SoC, Android 14, 50MP Sony LYT600 OIS main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro rear camera, 16MP front camera, 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging and in-display fingerprint scanner.

Apart from these upcoming devices, Realme is also expected to unveil another smartphone soon- Realme 12 5G. The Tech Outlook has spotted the device with model number RMX3999 on the SIRIM website.

The device has also been spotted on EEC, SDPPI, and TUV Rheinland certification websites also with the same model number.

The TUV Rheinland database reveals that the upcoming device will be powered by a 4880 mAh battery and support 45W fast charging.

Not only this the Indian launch of the device is also confirmed as Realme 12 5G was also spotted on the BIS certification website with several new models.

The appearance of the device on these certification websites strongly indicates that Realme 12 5G is nearing its launch and the smartphone brand might soon announce the launch date of this device.

The Realme 12+ 5G launch in other countries like UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, the US, and China has also been confirmed with its TDRA, NBTC, SIRIM, FCC, and TENAA certification. The Malaysian launch is scheduled to be on the 29th of February 2024.

Realme’s upcoming 12+ 5G device and the newly unveiled Note 50 smartphone have made it to the TDRA certification platform. The appearance of the two smartphones on the TDRA database confirms their launch in UAE.

The Realme 12+ 5G smartphone bears the model number – “RMX3867”, and has received the TDRA certification with the equipment registration number – “ER28199/24”. The device is listed as a mobile phone, and its certification will be valid till the 21st of January 2027.

The Realme Note 50 device has been certified by the TDRA authority with the equipment registration number of “ER28201/24”, and has been spotted on the database with the model number – “RMX3834”. This device has also been categorized under the mobile phone section with certification validity till the 21st of January 2027 itself.

Speaking more, the Realme 12+ 5G in the past days was spotted on two other global certification platforms such as Thailand’s NBTC and Malaysia’s SIRIM databases. Some of the expected specifications of the device includes the Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14, dual SIM 5G, NFC, 16MP front camera, 64MP(main) + 8MP(ultrawide) dual rear camera setup, and 67W wired fast charging feature. Just to add, the Realme 12 Pro series is soon going to be released on the 29th of January 2024, in a week’s time.

Regarding the Realme Note 50 smartphone, the device has already been unveiled in the Philippines market and its full specifications have been revealed. The key specs are the Unisoc T612 processor, Realme UI T based on Android 13 OS, 4GB/64GB storage, 6.74″ HD+ 90Hz LCD display, 13MP dual rear camera unit, 5MP selfie camera, 5000 mAh battery, 10W fast charge support, side-mounted fingerprint reader, microSD card slot, and the IP54-rated body.

Realme, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, is now revealed to launch one more smartphone in its upcoming 12 series, and this device has been spotted on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification platform with its moniker listed on the database.

Realme 12+ 5G – SIRIM Certification

Realme’s 12+ 5G smartphone carrying the model number – “RMX3867” has received the SIRIM certification with the type approval code of “RGQL/16G/0124/S(24-0029)”. As mentioned, the moniker “realme 12+ 5G” has been listed on the database, and the device is categorized under the “Mobile Phone” section. Its certification will be valid till the 11th of January 2025.

The 12 series was expected to consist of three smartphone devices – the Realme 12, Realme 12 Pro, and the Realme 12 Pro+, and the now SIRIM listed Realme 12+ 5G has made it four. The 12 Pro series comprising of the 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ devices have already started to be teased by the brand. The camera specs and the Submarine Blue color variant were teased recently. The alleged Realme 12 device is also said to have made it to China’s 3C certification platform.

Nothing much about this Realme 12+ 5G smartphone is known yet, apart from the details revealed from the SIRIM database. We’ll probably have to wait until more update arrive to know more.
