The mobile application of the AI chatbot is also now available to the public and the company believes that the contents from POE will ultimately help them in improving Quora itself.

Read more about it below.

Quora’s AI Chatbot, POE

POE an abbreviation for “Platform for Open Exploration” is a new AI chatbot introduced newly by Quora which is capable of answering questions and will provide access to a wide range of AI bot which will be suitable for different purposes. The company has also introduced the new AI service as a standalone product taking into consideration the immense growth potential of such AI chatbots.

In the past, we had also come across news regarding how tech giants including Google and Microsoft, introduced their own AI chatbots with a vision to improve their current services. Google had introduced Bard based own their own language model(Language Model for Dialogue Applications) and Microsoft had updated their search engine, Bing with AI capabilities.

It is with the same vision that Quora has also introduced POE to the public. With the contents received from POE, the company will be able to make the necessary changes and addition to Quora thereby helping them to improve the platform and also to increase its user base.

Quora has also introduced POE more like an AI aggregator and its users will be able to use multiple AI bots which will be apt for different purposes. At the moment there are three AI bots – Sage, Claude and Dragonfly available in Quora, of which the first two are powered by ChatGPT makers, OpenAI and the later by Anthropics Technology. However it is also to be noted that the AI bots have their own drawbacks and limitations which is another reason why Quora hasn’t incorporated POE into Quora.

If it is the case of Sage and Claude, the two AI bots won’t have knowledge about things after 2021 and Dragonfly, the third AI bot available in POE might even refuse to answer some questions. Even if this is the case, Quora sees it to have a potential and will in the future become a public platform for AI developers to introduce their AI models.

POE’s mobile application was first introduced in the month of December of 2022 but wasn’t available to the public and would require an invite for anyone to use the service. Currently the company has opened the service to the public and iOS users will be able to download it from the app store. The company has also assured that they will introduce POE to other platforms as well within a few months.
