PAYDAY is a co-op crime fantasy gaming series where friends become bank robbers and escape with some real-life cash. Recently, PUBG: Battlegrounds announced a new collaboration with PAYDAY.

As part of this collaboration, a new limited-time PVE Heist mode is being introduced on PUBG, where players plan and execute high-stakes robberies blending stealth and combat.

This mode will bring PAYDAY’s co-op robbery style into PUBG: Battlegrounds as “Infinite Paydays”. Developed with Starbreeze Entertainment, the mode offers a fresh PVE experience outside traditional battle royale.

As revealed in the trailer, missions take place across a variety of urban environments, where teams must secure targets such as vaults, data, and cash before making their escape. This mode will be available on May 13^th for PC and May 21^st for console.

Apart from this, PUBG has also introduced a streamer challenge in collaboration with PAYDAY. The streamer challenge is open to streamers on YouTube, Twitch, and Kick, and the $100,000 prize pool will be split among the top 10 finishers from the two separate leaderboards: the Play Ranking Leaderboard and the Streaming Ranking Leaderboard.

PUBG Update 39.2 Announced

This update will be reaching PC users tomorrow, while console users will be getting the update on 15^th January.

In Erangel: Subzero, a new Special Zone is introduced that spawns four times per match. When a Satellite Crash is detected, a warning message appears on the screen, while upcoming special zone locations are displayed on the World Map and Minimap. After a short delay, the Satellites crash down along with multiple modules that generate Blue Zone spheres, and the freezing effect is applied to the Blue Zone spheres. Various items can be looted from the crashed satellites, and crashing satellites deal impact damage.

The update introduces a new Frost Zone bomb weapon and Thermal Protection Suit. The climate now grows increasingly unforgiving, and it applies to normal, ranked, and custom matches. Spawn rates for various world spawn items have been adjusted. Weapon, attachment, and Throwable spawns inside secret rooms have been increased, while fixed spawn spots and the total spawn quantity for the Inflatable Boat have been reduced.

A new Secondary Password feature for stronger account security has been introduced for PC users. In Arcade (Team Deathmatch), the images, display duration, and size of on-screen notifications based on player notifications are adjusted. New item sets have been added to the Hunter’s Chest and Archivist’s Chest: Minx and Maven, Survivor Pass: Spirit Squad.

A brand new Survivor Pass is prepared for this update. The maximum number of weapon skins that can be salvaged at once in the hideout has been increased from 24 to 60. Visual effects are adjusted for console users, that displayed differently on Xbox.

PUBG has recently released its Update 39.1, which transforms Erangel into Erangel Subzero, a harsh winter apocalypse from crashed Tythonic satellites releasing cryogenic gas. The key changes include freezing blue zone, snow accumulation, dynamic weather, frozen weather and more.

This update also comes with a new progressive weapon skin, Faded Ghost: AWM and Survivor Pass: Erangel Subzero, which are now made available on PC and will be available on Consoles from 11 December.

The brand-new progressive weapon skin for the AWM sniper rifle- Faded Ghost: AWM lets you strike in silence and vanish without a trace, and levels up with kills/assists. There are two variants- Faded Ghost: AWM and Faded Ghost: AWM (Mocha Beige in Chroma finish). You can get it from Counterband Crate (offers 50% off for the first purchase) and Scrap Broker.

Survivor Pass: Erangel Subzero is the themed battle pass. A 50% BP Boost has been added as a Premium Pass reward, while the previous three BP Boost rewards have been removed. Contraband coupons and some key rewards have been replaced with BP. Due to legal regulations, this Survivor Pass is not available in Belgium and the Netherlands.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS – Update 39.1 Announced

About the Update 39.1 highlights, in Erangel Subzero, parts of this place have been frozen and are covered in snow as a result of mysterious satellite crashes. Players will also be able to find the crashed satellites across the place, and a few of them will consist of valuable loots. The freezing effect is also now there on Blue Zone, and it can additionally be triggered with the help of BZ Grenades and the newly-unveiled BZ Grenade Launcher. Also to note, with the latest update, Ferries and Red Zone will be disabled temporarily.

Regarding the Gunplay and other updates, the SKS, SLR, and M416 have received reduced recoil buff. For AUG and VSS, the recoil has been nerfed, and the VSS firing sound has been increased. The care packages for TDM have also been updated, and the recall system has been added to the IBR. Moreover, the UGC Alpha has been brought back, along with some new content. Also, the limit of Casual Mode has been changed to 60 minutes per day, from the previous 3 matches.

Furthermore, the Survivor Pass rewards have been adjusted for the latest Update 39.1, with 50% BP boost newly added as the Premium Pass reward, as well as Contraband Coupons and certain other key rewards. Hideout updates are also there.

In terms of roll-out, as indicated above, it will reach PC users tomorrow on the 3rd of December 2025 (00:00 ~ 08:30). Next week on the 11th of December 2025 (01:00 ~ 09:00), console users will also be getting it.

The latest anti-cheat dev letter (14th of November 2025) has now been shared by PUBG, outlining the improvements and actions that the brand has taken to ensure a fair gaming experience. Enhanced detection models, improved reporting system, and reduced false bans are a few of the notable aspects the brand has focused on.

PUBG’s Anti-Cheat Dev Letter for 14th November 2025 Shared

Firstly, to counter evolving cheat programs, PUBG has added its AI-based detection framework which will be capable of identifying abnormal activities and thereafter enforce a ban on the wrongdoers. The detection rate has thus been increased by about 2.5 times, and the time taken for the detection process has reduced by 90%. Also, thanks to transition to newer generation models, the anti-cheat system performance on consoles is also revealed to have been enhanced. Use of key mapping tools, mouse/keyboard converters, recoil-control macros, and other unauthorized devices on consoles will also be reduced from now on.

With the improved reporting system, PUBG has increased its monitoring staff by about 2.8 times and additionally, the average review processing time has dropped down by about 75%. While wrongdoers and fake players should be punished, at times legitimate players have received false bans earlier. New system enhancements have been brought too now, and this will help in reducing the number of false bans and safeguard legitimate players from being penalized.

Speaking more, apart from the above-mentioned updates, the brand has also strengthened its external anti-cheat measures as well. By working with law enforcement agencies, PUBG will be taking legal actions against cheat developers and its distributors. Moreover, players who make use of the in-game bugs to exploit and gain advantage over others will also be warned and punished. PUBG has also promised that it will continue taking more efforts to ensure a sustainable anti-cheat ecosystem for all its players.

The Update 38.2 of PUBG: Battlegrounds was rolled out for PC devices last week on the 5th of November 2025 and two days later, on the 13th of November 2025 (01:00 ~ 12:00 UTC), it is scheduled to be brought out for consoles too. PUBG: Battlegrounds Console Service Update 38.2 – Revealed Transition Details and Special Rewards

As earlier pointed out, the first change of the Update 38.2 for consoles is the end of support for PS4 and Xbox One consoles and the full transition to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Following this, the supported specs on the PS5 will be 1440p resolution + 60fps frames, PS5 Pro will be 2160p resolution + 60fps frames, Xbox Series X will be 2160p resolution + 60fps, and Xbox Series S will be 1080p/1440p resolution + 60fps/30fps frames. The pre-load time as mentioned by the brand is from 02:00 UTC on the 12th of November 2025, and console users can download and jump right into it when the update goes live.

Along with the new upgrades, the gaming brand has also prepared various gifts and rewards for its users, as well as a Battlegrounds Plus discount. Thank-You gifts are also made ready for long-time players, which include the PUBG Icons Parachute, Desolate Military Base (Nameplate), and PUBG Graffiti (Emblem). These will be directly added to the inventory following the update.

Special bundles are also announced for PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass members. The PUBG – 2025 PlayStation Plus Exclusive Bundle #4 consists of the Hunter’s Chest, Keys, Contraband Coupons, and Pixel Art Parachute. To note, for PUBG Console, the complete transition to latest generation PS5 and Xbox Series X | S is also a notable aspect of the Service Update 38.2, and it will be marking the end of support for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

As mentioned, the PUBG: Battlegrounds Console Service Update 38.2 will be rolled out on the 13th of November 2025 and following which, the Xbox Series S will support 1080p/1440p resolution + 60fps/30fps frames, Xbox Series X will support 2160p resolution + 60fps frames, PlayStation 5 will support 144op resolution + 60fps frames, and PlayStation 5 Pro will support 2160p resolution + 60fps frames. The roll-out time frame is mentioned to be in between 01:00 ~ 12:00 UTC (may be subject to change) on the 13th of November 2025, and the pre-load start time is noted to be on the 12th of November 2025 at 02:00 UTC.

Coming to the rewards, PUBG: Battlegrounds players on Xbox One and PS4 consoles who creates their accounts prior to the service update which will be going live on the 13th of November 2025 will be eligible to receive PUBG Icons Parachute, Desolate Military Base (Nameplate), and PUBG Graffiti (Emblem). These rewards will be automatically added to the users inventory. Special bundles for PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass members, as well as a future discount on Battlegrounds Plus are also there.

It is officially confirmed that the exclusive collaboration content is set to be launched on PC on 10th September, on Console: 18th September, and on Mobile: 19th September. The details for this collaboration are still a mystery, but Krafton is expected to soon introduce various content and events that global users can enjoy.

This is the first global collaboration where PUBG Battlegrounds and PUBG Mobile are working with an artist simultaneously, which has left the fans excited and curious about this collaboration.

PUBG BATTLEGROUNDS – Update 37.1 for PC

Extending its previous collaboration with Bugatti, PUBG Battlegrounds will be offering a new Bugatti Container (carrying the Bugatti Chiron) for its PC players. It is being brought as part of the Update 37.1, and players who own Bugatti Skins can unlock it on the starting islands of Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi, Taego, Deston, and Rondo. It is available in Normal Match, Ranked, as well as in Casual Mode, and it will be accessible for a month.

In addition to this, the latest update also brings the 2D minigame POBG as an Arcade mode in the new Paramo map from 21st August for PC (and 28th August for Console), implemented DMR Rebalance (reduced RPM and damage for DMRs), and session creation and new sample modes for BATTLEGROUNDS Plus players (UGC Alpha). A new Survivor Pass has also been prepared for Update 37.1. Other miscellaneous changelogs include the vending machines and destructible pots added to Deston, Canted Sight removed, and Red Zone adjustments.

PUBG BATTLEGROUNDS – PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Support Ends on 13th November

Aiming at a more stable gaming experience and for larger future updates (consoles), PUBG Battlegrounds will be ending the support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as mentioned above, and will be transitioning to the current generation of these consoles. The support period ends on the 13th of November 2025 and following which, the game will only be available to console players using PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

To note, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players won’t have to worry about any data loss as even after the support for the mentioned consoles ends, their user data will be preserved and they will be able to access it on the newer generations of consoles. Speaking more, following the transition in November 2025, PS5 will target 1440p at 60fps, PS5 Pro will target 2160p at 60fps, Xbox Series S will target 1080p at 60fps or 1440p at 30fps, and Xbox Series X will target 2160p at 60fps as their new specs.
