POCO, a Chinese smartphone brand, is nowadays gearing up for the launch of the POCO X6 series and POCO M6 Pro at the global level. It will also be launching the X6 series in India on 11th Jan. As we are getting close to the launch we are getting the confirmation of the new specs of these phones.

Now the company has unveiled one more specs and that is about the memory and storage. As per the recent post by POCO Global the POCO X6 series and M6 Pro will pack storage up to 512 GB and RAM up to 12GB. You can see the same on its global page and on the Flipkart sales page for the X6 series.

Earlier confirmed specs

Recently the company confirmed that the POCO X6 series will be featuring the CrystalRes Flow AMOLED display, the very first on a POCO smartphone. Before that, it was confirmed that the POCO X6 Pro would be powered by the Xiaomi HyperOS.

The company has earlier also confirmed the chipset of these upcoming phones. As per the company POCO X6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, POCO X6 Pro will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor and POCO M6 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99- Ultra SoC.

The POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro, are expected to be the rebranded versions of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and Redmi K70E smartphones respectively.

POCO, via its global Twitter/X handle, has officially shared that the mid-range POCO X6 Pro smartphone has attained a benchmark score of 1,464,228 on AnTuTu, and is pointed out to be powered by WildBoost. The brand has also posed the question – can the device stand up to flagship phones?, paving the way to a performance discussion.

From what it seems, this AnTuTu benchmark score confirms that the POCO X6 Pro device will be able to match up with a flagship smartphone and offer better performance when compared to a mid-range device. Also to add, the POCO X6 Pro will have the latest HyperOS custom skin onboard.

Xiaomi will be launching its POCO X6 series comprising the POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro smartphone devices on the 11th of January 2024, this month, and it will be unveiled both for the global and Indian markets on the same day.

As per the announcement, the X6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset while the X6 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset.

In the past week, POCO initiated teasers hinting at the impending launch of the Poco X6 series in India. While the brand has not officially announced the launch date on its social media platforms, a banner currently displayed on Flipkart has confirmed that the X6 series is set to be unveiled in the country on Jan. 11. The word “series” in the official teasers suggests that the brand may announce the POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro on the said date. Here’s what to expect from both smartphones.

POCO X6 5G specifications (rumoured)

The POCO X6 5G may arrive with a 6.67-inch OLED panel that will offer a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,100mAh battery with 67W fast charging.

It will feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. It will run on MIUI 14 for POCO-based Android 13.

POCO X6 Pro 5G specifications (rumoured)

The POCO X6 Pro 5G will have a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device may ship with the Dimensity 8300-Ultra chip, up to 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W rapid charging. It may feature the same set of front and rear cameras that are available on the standard model.

As can be seen, the POCO X6 and X6 Pro will be tweaked versions of the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi K70e, respectively, which are available in the Chinese market.

An upcoming POCO X6 series smartphone, expected to be the POCO X6 or POCO X6 Pro global variant, has been spotted on the IMDA certification database of Singapore.

POCO X6 Series Smartphone – IMDA Certification

The POCO X6 series smartphone from Xiaomi bearing the model number – “23122PCD1G” has been certified by the IMDA certification authority, and this upcoming smartphone has been listed on the certification database as a low-power device with Bluetooth, ILCS, Wi-Fi, and NFC. The smartphone is also revealed to be a 5G device, supporting 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network connectivity.

This POCO X6 series smartphone was previously spotted on the IMEI database and also on the European EEC certification platform, and it is its IMEI listing that pointed the smartphone to be the global variant of the POCO X6 Pro smartphone. However, a recent update is suggesting that the smartphone could be the vanilla POCO X6 smartphone.

Also to add, an alleged POCO X6 Pro smartphone has also been certified by the BIS certification authority of India, but the device listed has a different model number – “23122PCD1I”

It is safe to assume that this device(23122PCD1G) is the global variant of an upcoming POCO X6 series smartphone and with more future updates, we’ll be able to confirm whether it is the vanilla model or the pro model.

The smartphone brand POCO has recently launched a new variant for POCO C51 in the Indian market and reportedly the company is now working on POCO X6 series that includes two smartphones POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro. Although the company has not revealed regarding the launch of this series neither the devices have appeared on any online platform.

Well recently two new POCO smartphones are spotted on IMEI database with model numbers 2312DRAF3G, 2312DRAF31 and 23122PCD1G.

The listing doesn’t reveal much about the devices neither the moniker name is mentioned. But it is suspected that these could be the POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro. It is believed that 23122PCD1G model number belong to POCO X6 Pro while 2312DRAF3G and 2312DRAF31 model numbers are expected to be that of POCO X6 Pro.

Whether these model numbers belong to the said devices or not will only be confirmed when the devices make their appearances on other certification websites. As per reports, Redmi Note 13 Pro could debut as POCO X6 Pro in the global markets while POCO X6 5G could be the modified version of Redmi Note 13 5G.
