POCO recently announced the launch date of its upcoming smartphone POCO M6 4G smartphone which will be launched in the global market on 11th June. The company confirmed this through an X post in which it also confirmed that the smartphone will come with a 108MP main camera and will support 33W fast charging. Its revealed design suggested that there is a high chance it to be the rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi 13 4G. Ahead of its launch, its page is live on the POCO Global site with a complete specs sheet. Let’s get to know about its specs in detail.

Specifications of POCO M6 4G smartphone

The POCO M6 4G smartphone features a 6.79-inch wide FHD+ DotDisplay with a 90Hz refresh rate, 2460x1080p resolution, and 450 nits of brightness. It is powered by the Helio G91 Ultra 12nm processor paired with the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The smartphone packs up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB eMMC 5.1 storage. In the camera department, it boasts a 108MP super-clear main camera with a 2MP macro camera on the rear.

The front side of the smartphone sports a 13MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 5030mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging via a USB Type C port. Additionally, you also get to see a side fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone will come in three color options: black, purple, and silver. Company earlier also announced the early bird price that starts from $129 for the 6GB+128GB while its 8GB+256GB variant is priced at $149.

These confirmed specs of the POCO M6 4G smartphone suggest that it is the rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi 13 4G smartphone that came with the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra SoC.

The Poco M6 series has two new members: the M6 4G and the M6 Plus. Both have been in the news, but there was no information regarding their launch timeline until now. Poco has officially revealed the launch date of the M6 4G. According to an X post by Poco’s Global account, it is set to launch on 11th June.

Now that the teaser is out, it looks very similar to the Redmi 13 4G, which was launched recently. This aligns with earlier rumours of it being a rebranded version of the Redmi 13 4G. Therefore, it is likely that the Poco M6 4G will carry the same spec sheet as the Redmi 13 4G.

The X post also revealed that the M6 4G would come in three colour options: Black, Purple, and White. The image showed it will feature a 108MP pro-grade camera and support 33W fast charging. Additionally, the post confirmed that it will be available in two memory options: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The early bird offer prices are $129 for the 6GB variant and $149 for the 8GB variant.

POCO and Redmi smartphones both go hand in hand, and we have seen in the past also that Redmi launches the phone first and then Poco follows. But today we have spotted POCO M6 4G on Singapore’s IMDA certification website.

POCO M6 4G IMDA

A smartphone has been spotted with the Model number “2404APC5FG” on the IMDA certification. However, the moniker is not visible on the certification website. Previous reports concur that this model number corresponds to Poco M6 4G. The certification further clarifies that it will come with NFC support as well. Other than this, no further specifics regarding the hardware or the software are visible on this certification. This same model number has also been spotted on the EEC certification website in the past, but the moniker wasn’t known at that time.

A previous report suggests that both Redmi 13 4G and POCO M6 4G have the same code name “moon”, this suggests that Redmi 13 4G might come as a repackaged POCO M6 4G. But, here is the catch, in the IMDA certification, the Redmi 13 with model number “2404ARN45A” doesn’t have NFC written. So could it be, that Redmi 13 may come without NFC while the POCO M6 with NFC.

Both smartphones will only support 4G connectivity, but Poco M6 will have NFC.
