Today, the Twitter shareholders have also approved the deal of $44 Billion USD that Elon Musk is now running away from. However, according to Elon Musk, he was lied to as he believed the stats that were being presented to him at the time of the buyout deal. Now Twitter is running after the billionaire to buy the company. Twitter has recently filed a lawsuit against the billionaire Elon Musk.

Both Elon Musk and the Twitter board are ready for a face-off at the court hearing that is supposed to happen in Oct. 17 2022.

A poll by Tesla CEO Elon Musk has found out that nearly 65% of his followers do not believe in Twitter’s claim that less than 5% of daily users are fake/spam on the platform, economic times reports.

Musk, who is fighting a bitter legal battle with Twitter over the cancellation of the $44 billion takeover deal, started a Twitter poll last week among his 102.8 million followers on whether Twitter’s claim of less than 5% of daily users is fake/spam.

While 35% said Twitter is telling the truth, nearly 65% believe that this is not the case and the number of fake accounts is much higher.

Musk claims that if Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal can prove the actual number of fake accounts, then the terminated deal can still happen.

Elon Musk took to Twitter on Saturday and posted a poll asking votes on asserting that less than 5% of Twitter daily users are fake/spam. His poll options were “yes” with three emojis and “lmaooo no”. After the poll ended, Musk came back to it on Monday, August 8 and “lmaooo no” received 65% of votes until then. Soon after, Musk commented on the post stating, “Twitter has spoken’.

In recent turn of events, Elon Musk challenged Twitter CEO, Parag Agrawal to have a public debate regarding the platform’s bot perchantage. Previously on 6 August, Musk also asked Twitter to provide their method of sampling 100 accounts, and how they confirmed them to be real. He asserted that if Twitter can provide this he will continue with the deal of acquiring Twitter on original terms.

Elon Musk backed out from a $44-billion deal to acquire the popular social media platform, ‘Twitter’. Consequently, Twitter took the matter to court for Musk withdrawing his bid to acquire the platform.

Twitter do insist that less than five percent of accounts on the platform are spam. However, according to Musk the amount stands higher than 10 percent.

Musk’s recent comment on the poll is an indirect reference to his claims about Twitter’s bot percentage.

According to sources, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, will take over as the interim CEO of Twitter after his $44 billion deal to buy the social media network is completed.

According to a securities filing Thursday, Musk has raised $7.1 billion for his Twitter acquisition from investors including Oracle founder Larry Ellison and Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.

Ellison ($1 billion), Sequoia Capital ($800 million), and Vy Capital ($700 million) are among the 18 investors who have agreed to cash commitments, according to Tesla’s CEO.

According to the filing, the Saudi prince, who is also the CEO of the Kingdom Holding Company conglomerate, agreed to donate around 35 million Twitter shares worth $1.9 billion in order to keep a stake in the company after the acquisition.

Alwaleed had previously dismissed Musk’s $54.20 per share offer as too cheap, but on Thursday he applauded Musk on Twitter, writing, “I look forward to rolling out $1.9 billion in the ‘new’ @Twitter and joining you on this wonderful journey.”

According to the filing, the investments will lower a $12.5 billion margin loan structured by Morgan Stanley and other banks to $6.25 billion.

Because of the new financing, fewer Tesla shares will be used as security for the margin loan.

According to the document, Musk “may receive additional finance commitments to fund additional sections of the entire Merger Consideration,” and he’s in negotiations with former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and others about contributing shares to keep an equity interest.

The Twitter acquisition is likely to be completed in 2022.

Musk is anticipated to act as temporary CEO of Twitter for a few months after the deal is completed, according to CNBC, which cited unnamed sources.

While Elon Musk prepares to appoint a new CEO for Twitter once he takes control, current CEO Parag Agrawal is more concerned about the platform’s future than about his own career.

Agrawal has already stated that he took the job to improve Twitter for the better, course correct where necessary, and strengthen the service, despite claims that Musk had lined up a new CEO to replace him.

“I feel for the current CEO of Twitter (@paraga) – he had all these plans and now lives with the same uncertainty of his whole team,” a Twitter user posted.

Agrawal replied: “Thank you but don’t feel for me. What matters most is the service and the people improving it”.

Agrawal had previously written in response to another user’s claim that he had been fired: “Nope! We’re still here.”

Agrawal has stated that “despite the noise” made by Musk following his successful $44 billion buyout of the firm, he and the rest of the team will continue to work to improve Twitter.

No one knows who Musk is considering to replace Jack Dorsey as Twitter’s CEO, but there have been rumors that he may return.

“I saw you trending as Twitter CEO,” Musk wrote on Tuesday in response to a user who claimed that Twitter was once again shadow-banning conservative accounts and eliminating their followers.

Two notable conservative individuals, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and Dr Vladimir “Zev” Zelenko, have had their Twitter accounts reactivated.

The company’s policy department, according to reports, is one area where Musk may make employee reduction.

Following the Capitol Hill incident, Musk criticized Twitter’s policy chief Vijaya Gadde for suppressing exclusive reports on US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Musk started a series of attacks on Twitter’s operations just one day after purchasing the company. He went after Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s legal officer and a crucial figure in the firm when it came to policy decisions. Musk’s rebuke was met with a barrage of hostile tweets directed against Gadde. Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal retaliated in a tweet, calling Musk’s statements “noise.” In the midst of uncertainty over his job when Musk takes over Twitter, he lauded the company’s staff.

Vijaya Gadde, the top censorship advocate at Twitter who famously gaslit the world on Joe Rogan's podcast and censored the Hunter Biden laptop story, is very upset about the @elonmusk takeover pic.twitter.com/WCYmzNEMNt

While Musk was publicly chastising the current management team, CEO Parag couldn’t take it any longer. He basically stated that despite everything that is going on, the personnel are doing their best to improve the platform.

Gadde had already sparked controversy during her tour to India, when right-wing protestors accused her of waving a ‘Smash Brahmin Patriarchy’ banner at a private meeting. She had apologized sincerely for the same. Musk lambasted Gadde, and tweeple didn’t make things any easy for her. With the twitterati hurling insults at her, it’s a sobering reminder of what will happen if any one group/ideology gains the upper hand.
Former CEO Dick Costolo called out Musk for his irresponsible behaviour amid a barrage of hate remarks. Costolo ripped at Musk’s message, questioning how the new CEO had made business executives targets of abuse and threats! He slammed him as well.

Throughout the 45 minute audio clip, various employees, including CEO Parag Agrawal, can be heard discussing the day’s events and their concerns about what may lie ahead for the company under Musk’s leadership.

Taylor informed employees that the Board was required and compelled by Delaware corporate law to uphold the company’s fiduciary duties.

The CEO stated that the company would continue to operate normally and that he would be present to assist employees in making the greatest possible impact. Taylor pointed out a misunderstanding about the deployment of the Shareholder Rights Agreement and claimed that the media made a bigger deal out of Twitter’s actions than was necessary.

Employees were curious about what would happen to their jobs after the transaction was completed, as well as whether the company’s governance would change.

Taylor stated that when the sale was accepted, the stock reached a former high of around $70, delivering an absolute value to shareholders.

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has told worried employees that he has no idea where the company will go once the USD 44 billion deal to take the social media giant private is completed with new owner billionaire Elon Musk.

One employee tweeted that they were “in need of a stiff drink,” while another expressed dissatisfaction with Musk supporters within the company.

According to CEO Parag Agrawal, Musk “wants Twitter to be a powerful, positive force in the world, just like all of us.” When the deal is finalised in three to six months, Twitter CEO Aditya Agrawal told employees that stock options would be converted to cash.

Employees would continue to receive bonuses in accordance with the company’s vesting schedule and would continue to receive the same benefits for a year following the sale.

Some employees were reportedly concerned that they would not be able to benefit from the long-term appreciation of their stock.

“It’s important to acknowledge that all of you have many different feelings about what is happening,” CEO Parag Agrawal said.

“In this moment, we operate Twitter as we always have,” he said, adding that “how we run the company, the decisions we make, and the positive changes we drive — that will be on us, and under our control.” Uncertainty now hangs over the fate of Twitter employees who voiced concern over layoffs in the wake of the acquisition by Musk.

Elon Musk will not be joining the board of directors of the social media platform Twitter. The announcement was made by Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal early Monday morning. “Elon’s appointment to the board was set to take effect on April 9, but Elon announced that same morning that he will no longer be joining the board.” “I think it’s for the best,” Agrawal said.

Musk had purchased a 9% stake in the social media platform for approximately $3 billion and was set to join the board of directors. He has, however, been ‘trolling’ on Twitter for the past few days, polling the public on issues ranging from instituting an edit button to removing the ‘w’ from Twitter and converting the Twitter HQ in San Francisco into a homeless shelter.

Twitter entered into a letter agreement with Musk on April 4, stating that the company will appoint Musk to its Board of Directors as a Class II director with a term expiring in 2024. Musk will not become the beneficial owner of more than 14.9% of Twitter’s common stock outstanding at that time, either alone or as part of a group, including through derivative securities, swaps, or hedging transactions.

Interestingly, Musk tweeted last month about the social media company’s role in upholding free speech principles. “Given that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square, failing to adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy,” Musk said on March 25 while retweeting a poll he launched to determine whether “Twitter rigorously adheres to this principle.” Over 70% of those polled voted against Twitter.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has purchased approximately 9.2 percent of Twitter, according to a regulatory filing made public on Monday detailing his stock purchases.

Musk’s stock purchase comes as he emerges as one of the most vocal and visible critics of Twitter’s moderation efforts, which have recently cracked down on everything from harassment and death threats to misinformation and conspiracy theories.
