A negative test will result in his reintegration into the team after he has quarantined himself at home following PCB protocols.

Afridi will not be part of the initial matches of the Quetta Gladiators, but will likely join the squad for the Lahore leg. Afridi returned to the season seven biosecure bubble of the PSL after he left it due to personal and health issues. After experiencing back pain during a practice session on Tuesday night, he went for a medical checkup on Wednesday morning but returned at night.

According to Afridi, he has exited the bubble and will complete the three-day quarantine period, after which he will rejoin the Quetta squad. Due to personal and health issues, the all-rounder had requested to be excused from the biosecure bubble, sources told Geo News.

Afridi has told the management that he is suffering from back pain and that his wife’s relative has passed away, according to sources familiar with the situation. Afridi’s last event will be the PSL, which begins on Friday at the National Stadium, Karachi.
