Recently a poster was leaked online that revealed Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G will be launching in India on 13^th June while various reports also suggested that Oppo F27 Pro will also made its debut alongside Oppo F27 Pro+ model.  But till now the company has not announced anything regarding the launch of these devices.

Recently an Oppo device with model number CPH2643 was spotted on BIS and Hi-Res Audio certification, though the moniker was not revealed it was assumed to be the upcoming Oppo F27 Pro+ device. Today the same model number has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website.

The database does not disclose the moniker of the smartphone but it reveals that the device will support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. If reports are to be believed Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G could be the repackaged version of the Oppo A3 Pro that recently launched in the Chinese market.

Apart from Oppo CPH2643, Oppo Reno 12 Pro global variant with model number CPH2629 has also been spotted on Bluetooth SIG database which reveals that the device will support Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.

This upcoming device has already made its appearance on TUV, Import & Export, IMDA, TDRA, NBTC, SIRIM, BIS, and SDPPI certification websites hinting toward its imminent global launch. Oppo Reno 12 series has already made its debut in the Chinese market which consists of Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro devices.

Oppo has finally launched the much-awaited smartphone series Oppo Reno 12 in China. The smartphones come with impressive designs and features at the starting price of 2,699 yuan. Both of the smartphones draw their power from the MediaTek processor and feature four curved soft-edge straight screens. The company has also introduced official accessories peripherals that you can use to make your Oppo Reno 12 series handset more attractive than ever.

Oppo Reno 12

The Oppo Reno 12 smartphone features a 6.70″ wide AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate that supports HDR10+. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8250 chipset paired with up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage and up to 16GB  LPDDR5X RAM. The company claims that users can easily play games at high frame rates with low power consumption. In the camera department, the smartphone features a triple camera setup on the rear. It has got a 50MP main camera +50MP  portrait telephoto camera and 8MP ultra wide angle camera. The front side of the smartphone sports a 50MP selfie shooter. You also get to see features like AI closed eye that restores the image when someone mistakenly closes their eyes at the time of shots, AI cutout, AI elimination, and AI summary generation. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W charging. It comes in three color options that are Soft Peach, Ebony Black, and Millenium Silver.

Oppo Reno 12 Pro

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro smartphone comes with the same display, battery, and storage as the standard one. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. In the camera department, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro smartphone replaces the rear main camera of Reno 12 with the 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS support while the rest of the cameras are the same as the Oppo Reno 12. It boasts similar AI capabilities of AI cutout, AI elimination, and AI summary generation. The smartphone supports NFC, Wi-Fi 2.0, and an IR blaster, and comes with an X-axis linear motor for haptics that is only in the pro version. It comes in Champagne Gold, Ebony Black, and Magic Purple color options.

The reservation has already begun in China from today though the open sale will begin on May 31st. As far as prices are concerned these are as follows.

Oppo has already announced that the Reno 12 series will launch in China on May 23rd. While the Reno 12 Pro 5G global variant has been seen in multiple certifications, the vanilla variant was previously absent from these listings. However, it has now been spotted in both TDRA and SDPPI certifications, revealing its model number.

Oppo Reno 12 5G TDRA and SDPPI

So finally, the vanilla variant Reno 12 5G has stopped by the TDRA certification. It is listed with the model number “CPH2625” and shows Oppo Reno 12 5G under the marketing name. However, the listing does not yet show the registration number, indicating that it is still in the process of obtaining complete certification from TDRA.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian telecom certification authority SDPPI also lists the same model number “CPH2625.” However, the moniker is not included in this certification. Additionally, neither of the certifications reveals any hardware or software specifications.

But thanks to our colleagues at the 91Mobiles, who found this model number on the Geekbench, Camera FV-5, and TUV certification.

According to the Geekbench listing, the device scored 1033 points in single-core and 2750 points in multi-core tests. The listing also indicates that it will run on Android 14 out of the box, though the exact version remains unknown. Additionally, it will come with at least 8GB of RAM. The motherboard section notes ‘k6878V_64’, but the specific processor is currently unidentified. However, it is speculated to be the Dimensity 8300 SoC. This Octa-Core processor has a base frequency of 2 GHz and a peak clock speed of 2.5 GHz, paired with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU.

Now we recently discovered all the key specs of Reno 12 5G (China) on Tenaa certification. As per Tenaa, the Chinese variant will be powered by Dimesnity 8250 SOC. This would mean, Oppo will launch this smartphone with a different chipset for the global market.

According to the TUV certification, the battery capacity is 4880 mAh, but it is expected to be marketed as 5000 mAh and will support 80W fast charging. This TUV certification suggests that both the Chinese and global variants will have the same battery capacity.

The sensor likely has a native resolution of 50.4MP, and with 4-to-1 pixel binning, the main camera, featuring an f/1.8 aperture and EIS support, will produce 12.6MP images. This binning process results in an effective pixel size of 1.6 microns.

Additionally, the phone will feature a secondary rear camera with an 8.3MP resolution, a slightly wider focal length of 21.9mm, and a smaller f/2.0 aperture. This camera also includes EIS support and has a smaller sensor with 1.2-micron pixels. Given its slightly wider field of view (though not enough to be classified as ultrawide), it appears to correspond to the front camera when in binned mode.

Oppo has finally announced the launch date of its upcoming Reno 12 series in China. The company has released a range of teaser videos, focusing primarily on Gen Z users. According to official information, the launch is set for May 23, 2024. Interestingly, the Poco F6 series is also expected to make its global debut on the same date. Additionally, the teaser image hints at the inclusion of Oppo AI, suggesting the presence of AI features in the series.

The Reno 12 series will include both a vanilla and a pro variant. According to earlier reports, the vanilla variant is expected to feature a Dimensity 8250 SoC, while the Pro variant will come with a Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition chipset.

Furthermore, the Oppo Reno 12 will have the model number PJV110, and the Pro variant will have the model number PJW110 in China. There will also be slight differences in the memory options between the standard and pro variants. The standard version will offer three configurations: 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. The Pro variant is expected to come in two configurations: 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage.

The Pro variant is anticipated to feature a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor for telephoto with 2x optical zoom. In terms of battery capacity, the Pro variant is expected to come with a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

With the China launch date announced, a global launch is anticipated soon.

Update 10th May 2024: Just like in the morning, the Pro variant from the Reno 12 Series has been spotted again with the same model number “CPH2629”. It is listed with the moniker Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G. This certification doesn’t reveal much in terms of specs but rather hints that Reno 12 Pro will be launching in UAE too. Mind it, this is the global variant model number and till now only the Pro variant has been spotted.

It seems Oppo has two new smartphones in the pipeline under its Reno series, dubbed the Reno 12 Series. Just like its predecessor, it is expected to consist of two models: the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro. Recently, among the two, the Reno 12 Pro 5G (Global) was spotted on TUV, Import & Export, IMDA, BIS, and SDPPI certifications. Additionally, the Reno 12 Pro 5G has been spotted, this time on NBTC and SIRIM.

Starting with the SIRIM (Malaysia) certification, it is listed with the model number “CPH2629”, Type Approval Code “RGQL/78G/0524/S(24-1738)”, and was approved on May 9th, 2024. The next one is the NBTC (Thailand) certification, which shows the moniker as Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G and the model number “CPH2629”. Both certifications only reveal what is already known to us so far and add nothing.

Earlier DCS has revealed that Oppo might launch the Reno 12 Series either by the end of May or by early June in its home country. As this smartphone has been sighted on Global certifications, it would mean that the Global launch is also near.

Oppo Reno 12 Pro (Expected Specs China)

Earlier, DCS has also shared some of the key specs the Pro variant may carry. According to him, we will see a 6.7-inch OLED panel with micro-curvature at the edges. It is likely to offer a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

As reported earlier, we may see a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset powering this smartphone. Along with this, a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support can be expected.

An alleged render of this smartphone also appeared a while ago, showing that Oppo is now adopting a triple vertical camera layout just like Samsung. If an earlier leak is to be believed, we can expect a 50MP front selfie camera. It is also likely to feature a rear 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera offering 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP Ultra Wide Camera.

Note: Currently, it is unknown whether the Global variant will also come with the same specs or not.

The device was spotted on the SDPPI certification website, confirming the Oppo smartphone’s moniker. Other than SDPPI, Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G is also spotted on India’s BIS certification website which confirmed that the smartphone will soon be arriving in the Indian market.
