The Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has started rolling out the official version of ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 for Oppo A77 smartphone in Indonesia. The users interested to try this latest custom skin on their device can apply for it.

Oppo A77: ColorOS 14 update based on Android 14

The applications for this official version have already started and users need to ensure that their device is updated to the detectable version- CPH2385_13.1.1.550 (EX01)/ CPH2385_13.1.1.403 (EX01).

Before updating the device, users should backup their important data to avoid data loss. After updating to the latest version, the operating system will do several actions to optimize your device automatically which may lead to device heating, lagging and fast battery draining. In this case users can turn off the screen and charge their device whole night or wait for it to get normal within few days. Also some third party apps will not be compatible with Android 14.

How to apply?

• Step 1: Go to Settings > About device > Tap the top of the page > Tap icon on the top right > Trial versions > Official version> Apply Now
• Step 2: Detect the update > Download Now – You will receive the new version.

In case the users come across any bugs or issues after updating their device to this version, they can submit the feedback via the Feedback App on the device.

As per what OPPO Benelux(countries of Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg) has revealed to DroidApp, 11 OPPO smartphones are now confirmed to receive the latest Android 14 stable update which is expected to be made available starting from the month of August this year. It should be noted that this list of devices are region specific and as OPPO has already announced four years of Android OS updates for some of its selected devices, we might get to see more OPPO devices on the list of smartphones to receive the Android 14 update.

The first item to experience a price drop of Rs 1,000 is the Oppo F21 Pro. The smartphone, which was previously priced at Rs 22,999 for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, is now offered at Rs 21,999.
The Oppo A77 is currently available for Rs 15,999. The version mentioned here has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In India, the Oppo A55 is also available for a reduced price of Rs 14,499 with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.

When purchasing an Oppo phone, many buyers in the entry-level and mid-range price range frequently select one of these models. The corporation appears to want to sell more phones based on the price reduction.
