Last year the smartphone brand Oppo officially unveiled its Oppo A3 5G smartphone in the Chinese market and the device arrived with model number PKA110. And now soon the brand will be launching a rebranded version of this smartphone in China.

Oppo A3i Plus with model number PKA110 has been listed on JD.com. The reservations for the device start today and the device will be released on 14^th February at 15:00 (local time in China).

The listing reveals the design of the smartphone and it can be seen that the Oppo A3i Plus is exactly similar to the Oppo A3 5G (Chinese variant) in terms of design and color options. Just like Oppo A3 5G, Oppo A3i Plus will arrive in Pine leaf green, Cold crystal violet, and Ink black color options. The smartphone comes with a super anti-fall, super wear-resistant, and super durable body. On the front, it is protected by a Crystal shield glass.

Oppo A3i Plus is revealed to arrive with two storage options- 12/256GB and 12/512GB. The other specifications are still under wraps and are expected to be known after the official launch only. Since the device seems to arrive as the rebranded version of Oppo A3 5G (Chinese variant), it is expected that both may feature similar specs.

The Oppo A3 smartphone features a 6.67-inch wide AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC paired with the Adreno 619 GPU. It packs up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage that is expandable up to 1TB. In the camera department, the smartphone has a 50MP main camera on the rear along with a 2MP depth sensor. The front side of the smartphone sports an 8MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W SUPERVOOC charging. Additionally, the smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C audio, and bottom-ported speakers.

Oppo recently released the Oppo A3 5G in the Indian market with the model number “CPH2683”. Now, Oppo has launched the same smartphone in the UAE market, but with a new name: the Oppo A60 5G. We recently reported that the Oppo A3 5G would come to the UAE as the Oppo A60 5G, as it was sighted on TDRA certification with the model number “CPH2683”. This same model number belongs to the Oppo A3 5G Indian variant. Moreover, this identical model number has been listed on the Oppo A60 5G specifications page, confirming our earlier prediction.

Oppo A60 5G Specs

As the Oppo A3 5G was launched in India with a single memory option, the same applies to the Oppo A60 5G, which is also available in a 6GB + 128GB configuration. Even the colour variants remain the same. However, while the Indian variant of the Oppo A3 5G supports CBS (Cell Broadcast Service) but lacks NFC, the Oppo A60 5G supports NFC but does not include CBS. The Oppo A3x 5G was recently released in the Indian market, and now its sibling, the Oppo A3 5G, has also been introduced. The smartphone shares many similarities with its sibling, the Oppo A3x 5G, but the rear camera section is a key difference.

Oppo A3 5G Specs

It features a 6.67″ HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The Oppo A3 5G is powered by the same Dimensity 6300 SoC as its sibling, the A3x 5G, and is paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 1,072 MHz. It is available in a single memory configuration of 6GB LPDDR4X RAM at 2133MHz, with virtual RAM, and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The device comes with ColorOS 14.0.1 based on Android 14 out of the box.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP AF main sensor with an open-loop focus motor and an LED flash that offers up to 200% brightness for better night-time performance. The front camera is housed in a punch-hole layout and features a 5MP sensor.

The device has a 5,100 mAh battery and supports 45W SUPERVOOC charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm jack. While the global variant of this smartphone supports NFC, the Indian variant does not. However, the Indian variant does support Cell Broadcast Service (CBS), which the global variant lacks.

For protection, the smartphone comes with military-grade shock resistance and liquid resistance. It also offers a fingerprint sensor and face recognition for unlocking.

The phone is reasonably lightweight, weighing approximately 187g with a thickness of 7.7mm.

Following the tradition, Oppo launched the Oppo A3 Pro 5G in China, and rumors suggested that the vanilla variant will soon follow suit. It looks like we will probably see the vanilla variant come to life next month in China, as we have spotted it on the China Telecom Authority. This listing not only revealed the specs but also shows the release date, which I will share below.

Oppo A3 5G specs revealed via China Telecom

The device is listed with the model number “PKA110,” and the certification reveals the moniker to be Oppo A3 5G. Earlier, the same model number was listed on TENAA and was speculated to be a flat display variant of the A3 Pro. However, China Telecom has now cleared the air of doubts.

The listing shows it will be powered by a chipset with the model number “SM6375,” which is none other than the Snapdragon 695 SoC. It appears Oppo still has some stock left of the SD695 and intends to use it until the end. Just today, it launched the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite in India and global markets with the same chipset.

Coming back to the A3 5G, the base frequency is clocked at 2.2 GHz, and it will run on Android 14 OS out of the box with ColorOS 14 on top.

Oppo A3 5G will feature a 6.7″ flat display with a screen resolution of 2412*1080 and a size of 162.54×75.44×7.15 mm, weighing about 179.05 grams.

The design is quite similar to the Pro variant, with a circular camera module housing a dual camera setup and an LED flash. However, instead of a leather finish, it will have an all-plastic build, according to the listing on China Telecom. Additionally, at the bottom, you can see the USB Type-C socket, along with the SIM card tray and speaker output cutouts.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor, while the front camera has an 8MP sensor in a punch-hole layout. The battery size is revealed to be 5,000 mAh.

The Oppo A3 5G will offer dual-SIM support, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, and USB 2.0, but unfortunately, no NFC. Other features include a direction sensor, light sensor, gravity sensor, altitude sensor, distance sensor, and a fingerprint sensor, though it is not specified whether the fingerprint sensor is in-display or side-mounted.

Pricing and availability

Oppo is set to launch this smartphone in three variants: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and the top variant offering 12GB + 512GB. It will be available in three colour options: Aurora Purple, Sea of Tranquility Black, and Mountain Stream Green. The listing shows the market release date as 5th July, and the pricing has also been revealed. According to the screenshots below, the base variant will cost 2099 Yuan, the middle one is priced at 2299 Yuan, and the top variant is priced at 2599 Yuan.

Oppo recently launched the Oppo A3 Pro smartphone in China and now awaits the launch of this smartphone in the global market and the launch of the vanilla model in the market. For a few days, we have been seeing the global variant Oppo A3 Pro 5G smartphone appearing on several certification websites like Malaysian SIRIM, UAE’s TDRA, SDPPI, and Eurofins with the model number CPH2639. A few days back the same model number appeared on Google Play Console with the moniker Oppo A3 5G creating confusion about the association of moniker and model number.

Recently we spotted on Google Play Console that the same model number now appears with the Oppo A3 Pro/A3/ A80 5G. This should mean that the company has plans to launch the smartphone model number CPH2639 with different monikers for different markets. This is not the first such instance because just a day ago these three monikers were spotted in the Google Play Console Supported Devices List that revealed the other upcoming A series phones also. As per the list, the Oppo A3 Pro 5G will be arriving with a CPH2667 variant also globally and Oppo A3 5G will also have a second variant with model number A4020P. Apart from these phones Oppo A3 Energy 5G was also seen in the list that has also passed  TENAA certification.

As per the listing, the smartphone’s display will have 720*1604 pixels resolution and 320ppi pixel density. The listing confirms that it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor paired with the Mali G57 GPU. It will run Android 14 out of the box and will pack 8GB RAM. The rest of the things still remain under the wrap about this smartphone. But unlike its Chinese sibling, this is not powered by Dimensity 7050 SOC.

As said the Oppo A3 Pro smartphone has already been launched in China, so specs are known to all.

The Oppo A3 Pro smartphone features a 6.7-inch curved OLED display that offers FHD+ screen resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 950 nits brightness. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC that is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. In the camera department, the smartphone has got a 64MP OV64B main camera and a 2MP secondary camera on the rear side. The front side of the smartphone sports an 8MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.

So finally here are my thoughts, Oppo is soon going to launch the Oppo A3 Pro 5G with different monikers globally like Oppo A80 and Oppo A3. But this Global Oppo A3 Pro is going to be different than the Chinese variant. On the other hand, a recent leak suggests that the Chinese variant of Oppo A3 Pro will be coming to India as the F27 Pro Series and Oppo Reno 12F for a global audience.

Recently Oppo has officially unveiled the Oppo A3 Pro 5G smartphone in the Chinese market and now the global variant of this device has also become a part of the rumor mill these days hinting towards its imminent launch.

The database reveals the smartphone in Teal color. It feature two camera rings along with LED flash light on the rear panel while on the front a punch hole cutout can be seen for selfie camera. Volume and power buttons are present on the right side.

The device is revealed to arrive with 6.67 inch LCD HD+ display. It is said to be powered by a 2.4GHz chip. It could come with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB internal storage. The device is said to be backed by 5,000 mAh battery and pack up 50MP main rear camera along with 8MP selfie camera. The device is revealed to measure 165.79×76.4×7.68mm and weigh 186 grams.
