OnePlus 13 Series: Features

The series runs on OxygenOS 15.0  based on Android 15. The company has promised to release 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches to both smartphones. Both smartphones are backed by a 6000mAh battery. The series boasts features like- Circle to Search, PassScan, Magic compose, Intelligent search, Google Gemini, Aqua Touch 2.0, love Mode, AI Detail Boost, Livephoto, ODAD feature, Theft protection, and more.

Speaking more, this OnePlus compact-sized device is also revealed to feature expected specs like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 6.31″ LTPO OLED 1.5K display with narrow bezels (on all four sides), 50MP (Sony IMX906 main camera) + 8MP (ultrawide camera) + 50MP (periscope telephoto camera, 3x optical zoom) rear camera system (camera specs still unsure), short-focus in-display fingerprint reader, and metal middle frame and glass back.

Also, while the above mentioned specs show some similarities with OPPO’s Find X8 mini, the tipster has commented to a Weibo user’s query on what is different saying that the two will show differences in terms of the cameras and processors used.

As can be noted, the details given on the launch poster align with previous updates and assumptions, but the brand still hasn’t shared or listed such a poster or details pertaining to a ‘Winter Launch Event’ on any of its official websites nor on any of its social media handles. This puts the authenticity of the poster image in question. It is best to wait until the official update comes from the brand’s side itself, with which we’ll be able to confirm the exact launch date of the upcoming OnePlus 13 series global models.

The Chinese leading consumer electronics maker, OnePlus, has officially unveiled its 13 flagship device in its home market and the Ace 5 series launch is confirmed to take place next month in the country. Following the debut of the Ace 5 series in China, the global market is expecting the arrival of the brand’s 13 and 13R smartphones early next year, and the launch is likely to take place in the month of January 2025.

Now, we have spotted the global model of the upcoming OnePlus 13R smartphone on the FCC certification database of the US, and via its listing, certain key specifications of the device have been pointed out. Let’s look more into it.

OnePlus 13R – FCC Certification

The upcoming OnePlus 13R global model bears the model number – ‘CPH2647’ and has received the FCC certification with FCC ID – ‘2ABZ2-OP23869’. It has been categorized as a ‘Mobile Phone’ with issue date mentioned as ‘2nd October 2024’.

Coming to the revealed specs, the database suggests that the smartphone will run on the OxygenOS 15.0 custom skin (based on Android 15) and is expected to pack a 5860 mAh rated battery (probably 6000 mAh typical value battery).
