The South Korean consumer electronics maker, Samsung, is soon going to conduct its next Galaxy Unpacked event and one of the much-awaited products that is going to be introduced is the brand’s latest One UI 7 custom skin official stable version. As of now, the One UI 7 beta program is live for the flagship Galaxy S24 series devices and the brand a few days back rolled out the One UI 7 beta 3 update, followed by more new features.

However, the Galaxy S24 series users are currently complaining about the battery life issues that they are facing, causing the battery to drain quickly. While the issue is not that serious in certain models, for others it is causing a drastic impact on their devices. Read more about it below.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series x One UI 7 Beta 3 Update – Causing Battery Drain Troubles

This was initially pointed out by the tipster @tarunvats33 who has been sharing a lot about the One UI 7 custom skin, and it seems in his Galaxy S24 model, the battery charge consumed in 9 hours 55 minutes is 85%. Following the tipster’s X post, other Galaxy S24 series users have also shared their experience of how the battery drain issue is troubling them with some users getting a battery life of as low as 3 or 4 hours of total battery life. Additionally, a few users have also shared their charging patterns, revealing that they had to charge at least three times to get through the day.

The tipster has also further commented that the current battery condition of a user’s Galaxy S24 series device running on One UI 7 beta 3 version is really bad, whereas another X user asked him to report this on the forum so that it gets rectified on the final version.

As suggested, Samsung is soon going to conduct its next and first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year and it is scheduled to take place on the 22nd of January 2025. The One UI 7 official version will be released alongside the Galaxy S25 series flagships. Moreover, the event is also said to unveil the Project Moohan XR headset, the brand’s new smart glasses, and the teaser for the next generation Galaxy Smart Ring, as per reports.

Galaxy S24 – New One UI 7 ‘ZXLG’ Beta Build Updated

As per what has been revealed now, from the ‘ZXLE’ beta build, a new ‘ZXLG’ beta build has appeared on the Galaxy S24 test server. The build versions are S928BXXU4ZXLG/ S928BOXM4ZXLG/ S928BXXU4BXLG.

Furthermore, the tipster who has shared this news has also added that if Samsung plans on finalizing this ‘ZXLG’ beta build as the next One UI 7 beta 3 update, then the mentioned beta update will be rolled out to the eligible devices either tomorrow or day after tomorrow.

In related news, Samsung is also expected to soon release the One UI 7 beta 2 for Indian users by the end of this month, however, it hasn’t been rolled out yet and no updates on the matter are currently being shared. Also to add, recently, we spotted the Galaxy A53 5G smartphone on the Geekbench database with Android 15 based One UI 7, confirming its eligibility to receive the One UI 7 stable official version following its release this month.

One UI 7 Beta 3 Update – Tipped to Arrive Soon

So far, it is believed that only the Galaxy S24 series users in the US, UK, South Korea, Germany, India, and Poland have been able to access and enjoy the features provided in the One UI 7 custom skin based on the Android 15 operating system before the official version comes out, while the last year’s Galaxy S23 series was recently pointed out to not receive any beta updates at all, but directly the official stable version in February or March 2025.

The brand was expected to release the beta 3 update early this week on the 23rd of December 2024 as per a previous update in the US, UK, South Korea, and Germany, whereas the beta 2 update was said to roll out in the Indian and Poland markets around the same day. However, both these are yet to happen. The One UI 7 beta 2 in India is possibly coming next week, and as per the new update, the One UI 7 beta 3 would be rolling out anytime soon.

Furthermore, a few of the changelog of the One UI 7 beta 3 update as revealed include changes in sound effects for unlocking screen, locking screen, and charging, as well as a more flexible drop-down animation.

About the One UI 7 official stable version, it is likely to be introduced next month with the next Galaxy S25 series devices, at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is said to be held on the 22nd of January 2025.

However, the tipster also adds that since this is a beta software update, delays are possible, suggesting that the date may change. He further notes that One UI 7 beta 3 is for the US, UK, Korea, and Germany markets, and in the meantime, users in India and Poland are said to receive the One UI 7 beta 2 update.

In related news, the One UI 7 beta community page for the Galaxy S23 series users recently went live in the brand’s Germany official website, which had also suggested that Galaxy S23 series users may also soon be able to get a chance to experience the One UI 7 custom skin via the beta program before receiving the official version.
