The Nothing Phone (3a) series as already known will be debuting early next month both in the Indian and global markets, and two smartphone models are going to be unveiled under the series – the Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. In the past few days, we have come across many teaser updates concerning the soon-to-be-launched devices and now, an exciting announcement has been made by Nothing.

Today, on the 24th of February 2025, Nothing will be officially unboxing its Phone (3a) series and what makes it special is that, the unboxing will be done by the NEO Gamma humanoid robot which was introduced just a few days back by 1X Technologies. Also, a video has been shared featuring the NEO Gamma robot wearing the Nothing Labcoat, and in its front pocket a Nothing Phone (3a) series device can be spotted (likely the Phone (3a) Pro from what it seems).

Furthermore, we can also see more hints pointing to this new collaboration with 1X Technologies and Nothing in the comments section as well.

The official launch of the Nothing Phone (3a) series is scheduled to be conducted on the 4th of March 2025, and notably the brand in the recent past days teased the Snapdragon processor (~ Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3), periscope telephoto lens (of the Phone (3a) Pro), and macro shots of the series. As per the revealed macro shots, the upcoming Nothing Phone (3a) series is revealed to offer better macro capabilities to its users. The shots captured portray great detailing with good clarity, along with true to life colors.

Coming to the leaked teaser videos, both the devices are revealed to feature a new and advanced camera system at the rear, housing three camera sensors. The standard Phone (3a) looks more or less similar when compared with its predecessor in terms of the camera module, however the Phone (3a) Pro has an entirely new projected camera layout. The Phone (3a) is pointed out to sport a 50MP (shake-free OIS main camera) + 8MP (ultra-wide Sony camera) + 50MP (telephoto camera) camera unit, whereas the Phone (3a) Pro has a 50MP (shake-free OIS main camera) + 8MP (ultra-wide Sony camera) + 50MP (OIS periscope telephoto Sony camera) camera system. The telephoto lens of the Phone (3a) offers 2x optical zoom, 4x lossless zoom, 30x ultra zoom, and a portrait mode, on the other hand, the Sony periscope telephoto camera lens of the Phone (3a) Pro supports 3x optical zoom, 6x lossless zoom, 60x ultra zoom, and a macro mode.

Speaking more, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro models will also be sharing a few similar specs such as the True Lens Engine 3.0, advanced computational technology, AI processor, and multi-frame technology. An action button has also been given on the two devices, which can be used to launch the Essential Space. The Essential Space will allow users to organize content and generate action points.

On the performance side, the upcoming devices will also be having the brand’s latest Nothing OS 3 custom skin based on the Android 15 operating system out of the box. They will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, and will be offered with up to 20GB RAM Booster and +25% faster processing.

Nothing’s Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro devices are also suggested to feature the biggest display screen from the brand yet. It will be a 6.77″ AMOLED display with 3000 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1000Hz touch sampling rate. The Glyph Interface with three light strips is also a notable key spec of the two.

Also, the Nothing Phone (3a) is revealed to come in Black, Blue, and White color options, while users will get the Phone (3a) Pro model of Nothing in Black and Grey colors.

Regarding the TUV SUD certification, the Phone (3a) – ‘A059’ and Phone (3a) Pro – ‘A059P’ models have received the certification with the certificate number of ‘SG PSB-IV-13479’. They will be supporting up to 50W wired fast charging, and will feature class III protection.

Even if the Nothing Phone (3a) smartphone is expected to sport a triple camera system at its rear, it is said to comprise of a 50MP primary camera lens, a 50MP telephoto camera lens (with 2x zoom), and an 8MP ultrawide camera lens. So, from what it seems, the now-shared camera module may be of the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro model’s (assuming) and with more updates, we can come to a conclusion.

Nothing has officially announced that the Nothing Phone (3a) series will launch globally, including in India, on 4th March 2025. According to earlier leaks, the series will include a vanilla variant and a Pro variant. Now, the vanilla variant has been spotted on the UAE’s TDRA certification, further confirming its imminent launch.

The certification lists the model number “A059,” previously rumoured to be associated with the Nothing Phone (3a). This confirms that the model number belongs to the vanilla variant of the series. However, the listing does not reveal any additional details about the device.

In addition to this, earlier today, a new Nothing earphone with the model number “B170” appeared on the SGS Fimko certification. This suggests an upcoming Nothing-branded earphone, though it remains unclear whether it will be launched under the Nothing brand itself or its sub-brand CMF. To clarify, Nothing has not officially announced or revealed any details about this earphone yet.

Meanwhile, several details about the Nothing Phone (3a) have surfaced, giving us a clearer idea of what to expect.

It is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SOC and a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. As per the new listing on Flipkart, it has been revealed that Nothing will be introducing its Phone (3a) series on the 4th of March 2025 in India (and probably in the global market too), and this means that not just the Nothing Phone (3a), but also the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro model will be debuted on the same day.

Moreover, the poster image has also revealed a glimpse of the Nothing Phone (3a) series design, and while it resembles the previous Nothing Phone (2a) series with possibly a transparent rear panel featuring a circular camera portion and other interior design elements, there are notable changes in terms of the camera system and glyph interface. We can evidently spot two glyph units that are semi-curved along with an elongated pill-shaped camera module, quite well-aligned with already shared camera design images.

The smartphone brand Nothing has recently announced to launch of a new device on 4^th March 2025 in global as well as Indian markets. The microsite for this upcoming device has also been made live on Flipkart and Nothing.tech India website, though the company has yet not announced the moniker of the device but a Flipkart URL has hinted that the brand will be launching Phone (3a) on 4^th March.

While announcing the launch date the company has also shared a teaser that showcased two different camera islands. Now ahead of the upcoming launch of this device, Nothing Phone (3a) camera setup has leaked online (via @TusharG98540565).

There is a pill-shaped and circular module placed next to each other. The pill-shaped module seems to house three camera sensors. This leaked image seems somewhat similar to the recently shared teaser.

Other than this leaked camera module, tipster @gadget_bits has also exclusively shared the detailed specs of Phone (3a) on the X platform.

The device is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that offers FHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 (as already revealed via Geekbench database). It could pack up a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera while on the front it is said to feature a 32MP selfie camera. A few days back Nothing officially teased the launch of a new smartphone and based on previous reports it was assumed that the tease could likely be for Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Plus. Recently both these smartphones also made their appearance on the BIS certification website.

If you remember last year, Nothing Phone (2a) was launched on 5^th March and we may see the debut of its successor Phone (3a) a day prior to this year. Let’s wait for more confirmation whether the Phone (3a) series will launch on 4th March or the Phone (3) will be unveiled. So far, we haven’t seen Nothing Phone (3) in any of the certifications, so likely it would be Phone (3a).

Apart from this, a new Nothing Phone battery has also been spotted on the BIS certification website with model number NT04 (via @saaaanjjjuuu).

The database does not reveal much about the battery details but seems like the company may introduce better batteries in the future for its devices.

The Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Plus models bear the model numbers of ‘A059’ and ‘A059P’ respectively, and these two have been included on the BIS database as of on the 22nd of January 2025. Nothing about their specs or features have been revealed via the BIS listing, but it has now been confirmed that both these models will also be debuted in the Indian market as well.

Speaking more, Nothing as mentioned teased its upcoming Phone (3a) model by sharing the image of its assigned Pokémon code – Arcanine, whereas the Phone (3a) Plus is said to be assigned with the Pokémon code – ‘Hisuian Arcanine’. These two have also appeared on the GSMA IMEI database, with codenames of ‘asteroids’ and ‘asteroids_plus’ respectively. Other than the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Plus models, reportedly the Phone (3) and CMF Phone 2 models are also in work.

Apart from the BIS and IMEI listings, the upcoming Phone (3a) model has also received the UL Demko certification and was listed on the Geekbench database.
