Lava Mobile has released a software update for the Lava Blaze Curve 5G smartphone. The update, version LAVA_LXX505_SW_A14_V09_HW_V1.0_20240828, includes several changes and additions to the device’s software.

Update Contents:

1. Android 14 Upgrade: The device will now run on the Android 14 operating system.
2. Security Update: August 2024 Security Updates are included.
3. Camera Updates:
   • Modifications to low light performance in Night mode for rear and front cameras
   • Changes to bokeh effect in Portrait mode for rear and front cameras
   • Adjustments to overall front camera performance

Update Information:

• Update Size: 2.64 GB
• Note: The device should have more than 50% battery charge or be connected to a charger before starting the update.

During the update process, users will see the message “Installing system update… Optimizing your device, this may take a while.”

Users can choose to download and install the update to access these changes.

Today Lava has officially announced on the X platform that an Android 14 upgrade is available for the Lava Blaze Curve smartphone. However, this is not the public release but rather the Beta testing program for the device.

Users will have to register themselves on the given link by filling out the needed information like- Name, Whatsapp/Phone No., E-mail ID, Model Name, IMEI 1 number, and IMEI  2 number, and once they will soon receive the upgrade on their devices. The brand has not revealed the public rollout date of Android 14 for the Lava Blaze Curve smartphone but it is expected to happen soon.

Also before upgrading the device to this version, users should keep in mind that this version is not as stable as that of the official version and may result in data loss, device instability, or security vulnerabilities. It is recommended to back up your data on the smartphone before installing and using the beta software. The upcoming Lava Blaze Curve 5G smartphone will be arriving equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor, and it will be coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device will also probably be supporting extended virtual RAM support, and the total RAM can be expanded to 16GB as per what has been pointed out.

These processor and storage details were already tipped earlier and it was suggested that the device could be made available in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB storage options. Moreover, the AnTuTu benchmark score is said to be 550K+ points.

Additionally, the tipster wrote that it will come in two colour options and its retail price can be between Rs 16,000 to 19,000.
