Now a new issue has come to the notice that is being discussed by iPhone 15 users on different platforms. This issue is about Screen burning. For those who don’t know it’s a term that is used for permanent discoloration across any part of the screen panel.

One of the community members on the Apple discussion page wrote “Wow! It’s been two weeks. This is the worst phone ever released by Apple”.

A Reddit user sharing the image of the iPhone’s display wrote “I got my iPhone 15 pro max on release day and have been loving it so far. I had heard that some people were experiencing burn-in issues on theirs, but I wasn’t really noticing anything on mine until a couple of nights ago when I started to see a small amount of what looked like ghosting. Upon further inspection, it is definitely burn-in. Putting a dark gray image up at low brightness really reveals it”.

Several complaints in the past were raised regarding the phone getting warm even after a few minutes of usage. However, Apple came forth with a new update iOS 17.0.3, and claimed that the issue had been resolved and many users even confirmed the same. However, it seems like some of the units may be faulty and Apple should rather look into the production line now.

Now when the iPhone 15 series has been launched users are sharing their experience on social media platforms. On one side where few are overwhelmed by the major upgrades that this series brings some are disappointed by it.

And one of the major reasons for disappointment is overheating. It is commonly seen that in the first 24 hours of usage, almost all smartphones heat up. A number of people have come forth to explain the underlying reason but a reliable known analyst has shared the result of a survey that might be the possible reason for this issue. The analyst Ming-Chi Kyo in his blog post wrote that “iPhone 15 Pro series overheating issues are unrelated to TSMC’s advanced 3nm node”. Further Ming mentioned that it can be because of compromises made in the thermal system design such as reduced heat dissipation area. The use of a titanium frame has also been mentioned as one of the possible reasons that Apple is using it as a selling aspect among buyers.

As far as it’s solution is concerned Ming mentioned in his blog post “Apple will address this through software updates, but improvements may be limited unless Apple lowers processor performance”.

Until Apple plans to do something about it, you can try these methods to solve the issue.

Possible ways to stop overheating

One of the recommended methods is to enable auto brightness. It has been seen maximum brightness causes the overheating and battery drain quickly. Auto brightness will make sure to set the brightness based on ambient light.

Another solution can be to turn off the Bluetooth when it’s not required. Other apps that use location can also be the possible reason for this like Safari, and navigation. And for the immediate effect do prefer Aeroplane mode which will stop all operations and can help to resolve the issue.

Apart from these possible solutions, a report from China has claimed that Apple stores are cautioning against using Android charging cables.

Apple’s iPhone 15 Series to be Announced on September 13?

As per an article published by 9to5Mac, reports are pointing to a major smartphone launch that is to take place on the 13th of September 2023 and, mobile network providers have been asking all of its employees not to take a leave on that particular day.

While it is not confirmed as the launch date of the upcoming iPhone 15 series devices, it is likely that it could be. Apple usually unveils its latest iPhone devices on Tuesdays but, if you take the case of the previous iPhone 14 series devices, it was launched on the 7th of September 2022, which is a Wednesday. The coming 13th of September 2023, the said date of the major smartphone launch, is also a Wednesday and connecting the dots, as mentioned, it could be the launch date of the upcoming Apple iPhone 15 series devices.

Taking the case of the previous iPhone 14 series devices which had its pre-orders starting from the 9th of September 2022, two days after the announcement and which were made available in stores from the 16th of September of the same month, if Apple unveils the iPhone 15 series devices on the 13th of September next month, we can expect the pre-orders to begin on the 15th of September and its availability can be expected on the 22nd of September, 2023.

It is still not sure whether the launch will take place next month or not and, if we look at a previous report, it pointed at a possible delay that may occur due to the display issues in the Pro variants of the series. There are also claims from many sources stating that all the variants will be made available at the same time while others states that the availability of at least one variant could be delayed.

The only possible thing that we can do is to wait until a proper official announcement is made regarding the matter.

Apple iPhone 15 Series Expected Specifications

All the upcoming iPhone 15 series devices are expected to feature the Dynamic Island and a USB type-C charging port. Regarding the processor, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus devices are likely to be powered by the A16 Bionic chipset whereas the Pro variants might have an all new A17 chipset. Here’s what we know.

Apple iPhone 15 Series Launch Delayed?

Recent reports from the Bank of America and The Information suggest that the launch of the upcoming iPhone 15 series devices might probably get delayed due to the display issues in the Pro variants of the series. Wamsi Mohan, a global securities analyst at the Bank of America as part of conducting channel checks at Apple’s supply chain noticed and stated that the launch might be delayed by a month and is likely to slip into Q4 of the year, reported MacRumors. It is suggested that the launch of the iPhone 15 series devices is going to take place in the month of October 2023.

Looking into the previous iPhone 14 series launch, Apple launched its iPhone 14 series devices on the 7th of September, 2022 and the sales of three of the smartphones of the series – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max had started on the 16th of September, a week later. It should be noted that the sales of the iPhone 14 Plus smartphone got delayed by another month due to supply chain disruptions in China and were only made available on the 7th of October.

Now regarding the upcoming iPhone 15 series devices, all the smartphones of the series are expected to feature Dynamic Island, which was exclusive only to the Pro models of the iPhone 14 series. The upcoming devices are also expected to feature better displays, cameras and offer great performance. All the variants are also going to be having a USB type-C charging port, as it is now being said. Recently reports also suggested that the Pro models will be featuring a periscope telephoto camera instead of the normal telephoto lens which the iPhone 14 Pro models had.

iPhone 15 Pro Max – 6x Optical Zoom Periscope Telephoto Lens

This new update comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster on the Chinese microblogging platform, Weibo who reported that the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphone might arrive with a periscope telephoto lens with 6x optical zoom support. Months back reports started to arrive pointing to the possible chance for the iPhone 15 Pro Max model to support a periscope telephoto lens with 5x or 6x optical zoom support and it is following this report that Digital Chat Station shared the latest update.

When we compare the expected camera module with the previous iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphones, the previous iPhone had a triple camera setup with a 48MP main camera, 12MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. MacRumors had suggested that in order to incorporate the periscope telephoto camera, Apple might have to interchange the positions of its ultra wide-angle camera to the top beside its main camera where the telephoto lens of the smartphone was previously placed. This is because, externally when a periscope camera is added to the device there will not be much difference externally but, internally a little more space is required. Therefore a rearrangement of the camera lenses is necessary. Just to add, the periscope telephoto lens is square shaped but in the iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphone, externally it will appear circular in shape.

We are just two months away from the much-anticipated launch of the iPhone 15 series smartphones and by now a lot about the upcoming smartphones have been reported and suggested via leaks and other reports. You may check out everything that we have covered so far here.

Apple iPhone 15 Series

The Apple iPhone 15 series smartphones and their launch were rumoured to even before the launch of the Apple iPhone 14 series smartphones.

As always, Apple will launch their new iPhones in September 2023. There are also rumours regarding an Ultra variant instead of the Pro Max variant.

The smartphones in the iPhone 15 series will have a periscopic zoom camera lens, Qualcomm modem chips and the dynamic island for all their models.

The iPhone 15 series will also have fewer feature and specification gaps as well.

As per rumours suggest, the Apple iPhone 15 series smartphones will have USB type-C ports. Apple iPhones in the future won’t have the brand’s own lightning port.

This is a huge update in reality. USB type – C ports have started to become the universal port in most of the smartphones in the market today and Apple took the decision as part of this.

So the question is should you upgrade to an iPhone 15 series smartphone for that alone?

The answer is no, you needn’t upgrade to an iPhone 15 series smartphone for a USB type – C port alone.

But the Apple iPhone 15 series smartphone has a lot of other feature upgrades including a periscope zoom lens and Qualcomm modem chips as mentioned before.

The new Apple iPhone 15 series will also have a dynamic island for all its models.

So in conclusion, there are a lot of other reasons why you should buy the new Apple iPhone 15 series smartphones.

However, the company plans to produce four modes for its 2023 iPhone 15 series.

The iPhone series 15 is expected to have a USB-C Type charging port. Due to the new Universal Charger requirement by the European Union. And it could also add 8GB memory capacity in its upcoming Pro series to make ties with its new processor.

There is a possibility that the Pro Max model’s main camera might be upgraded to 8 MP and equipped with a periscope lens, as well as other enhancements to the camera’s features.

The report was conducted by the Department of Semiconductor Research at market intelligence company TrendForce, which did not name any sources.

The report said, “According to TrendForce, Apple will continue to introduce four new models each with two CPUs to further distinguish between regular and high-end devices.”
