Some of the problems faced by iOS 16 users were:

iPhone users experienced an app crash issue after installing iOS 16

Scrolling didn’t work properly until you use two fingers

Users were unable to update apps

Another iOS bug was that it affected all third-party lock screen widgets

Several users complained about the severe battery drain

There was also a bug with the system’s three-finger gestures and affecting gameplay.

There was also a screen flickering issue

The weather app was claimed to be inaccurate

Camera issues of shaking and vibrating, excessive copy/paste permission prompts, display appearing entirely black, unavailable voice-over, and unresponsive touch input were some of the other bugs mentioned by users

Seeing these complaints from the users Apple looked into the matter and found out that this was a hardware issue. Also, the company assured its users that they need not worry as a new iOS update will soon be released to fix these issues. However, the release date is not yet confirmed.

Let’s look into it.

Fact Check

Recently a Twitter user shared pictures of his Pixel 7 Pro smartphone running on iOS 16 and his iPhone 14 Pro Max running on the latest Android 13. Few users have commented on how each operating system looks on the other phone and many users are wondering how he did it.

My Pixel 7 Pro running iOS 16.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max running Android 13. pic.twitter.com/FINVKS0qpv

— Durr E Adan (@durreadan01) January 13, 2023

But the question is, did he actually interchange the operating systems of both smartphones or not?

The answer to this is NO!

Some of the users have pointed out how an in-display fingerprint sensor appeared on the picture of the iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphone that he has shared. This arose doubt regarding whether the Twitter user is fooling others with a screenshot of the operating systems.

I just swapped screenshots lol. Nothing else.

— Durr E Adan (@durreadan01) August 23, 2022

Going through one of his previous posts where he claimed to have interchanged the iOS 16 and Android 13 in Google Pixel 5 and iPhone 13 Pro smartphones, he himself has declared that it is just the screenshots of both the operating systems displayed in the smartphones.

This proves that his claim regarding interchanging the operating systems of the respective smartphones is not true. This also reminds us that you should not believe everything that you see on a social media platform or on the Internet.

Google has also announced new features that would allow users to add widgets directly to their iPhones’ lock screens before Apple released iOS 16. Google users may now add widgets for popular apps like Gmail and Google News to their lock screens, but widgets for Search, Maps, and Calendar are still not available.

The new Gmail widget comes in three sizes, an inline shape, and a rectangular shape. The first two widgets, according to The Verge, should appear below the clock on the lock screen, while the inline widget should appear above as a line of text. Condensed headlines are added to a rectangular widget on the Lock Screen by the Google News widget. The company has previously said that after iOS 16 was released, it will help users customize the Lock Screen.

Many Google apps will soon have lock screen widgets, the company claims. The first thing you see when you pick up your phone is the lock screen. You can access your favorite Google features and even get certain updates on your Lock Screen with only one tap after unlocking your smartphone.

The Maps Frequent Trips widget allows users to view predicted travel times and real-time traffic data for destinations like home and work right on their lock screen. They can utilize the Maps Search widget to locate the restaurants, shops, and other locations they prefer to visit nearby.

As the new iOS 16 comes in with many new features, it also paved way for features which turned out to be annoying for its users.

First of all, iOS 16 added a new search button. This came off as a nuisance to many users because of its placement at the bottom of the home screen, above the dock. Although the addition of a search button is meant to be handy in urgent requirements of searching something, its current placement makes one tap it accidentally creating disturbance in the workflow.

Secondly, the time appears to be larger now when the screen is locked. This does not come off as a positive feature to user experience or enhance it in anyway. Some users are complaining that this is just a distraction and feels forced.

Lastly, notifications appear at the bottom of the home screen. This reportedly is another discomfort and nuisance to users. This new layout lets several notifications and messages subside. Along with it, a user can see the previous message. Users are of the opinion that they would like to prefer the previous list layout.

The Fitness App, comes in with a new look. Although there has not been any major update to the app’s features the new look is being appreciated by the users. It is not all bad; there are many new features, which will enhance a user’s experience. In addition, yes there are ways to get rid of the features which users are finding annoying. The ios 16 upgrade is now available for download.

For deleting the message

In the first public beta, you were allowed 15 minutes to unsend your message. However, if you’ve installed the second public beta, that has been changed to two minutes After two minutes, the option will disappear from the drop-down menu.

For editing the message

Long-press on the message.

On the drop-down menu, tap Edit.

Edit your message and tap the check mark to the right of the message to send the correction. (Or tap the “x” to the left of the message if you’ve changed your mind about changing the text.)

If you want to see all of your edits, tap on the small Edited link below the message. You can then tap on Hide Edits in order to just see the last message.

If you long-press on your message after 15 minutes have passed, then the Edit option will no longer be on the menu. But the second public beta adds a new limitation: while you could edit that message as many times as you want in the first public beta, you are allowed to edit it up to five times; after that, the Edit option in the drop-down menu disappears.

And a reminder that neither option works if your recipient is on an earlier version of the OS.

iOS 16 has a depth of field vision on its lock screen with a realistic photo gallery especially selected. The lock screen also holds a smart clock with health, stock, battery, and weather updates. The color can also is changed according to the mood. The color of the features on the lock screen can also match the wallpaper color.

Google also has specialized Glance widgets on its lock screen which provide similar features just like iOS. It has weather and date shown at all times. It also has added features like tropical storm warnings, boarding passes before getting on a flight, and upcoming events to keep you end-to-end updated. The colour is compatible with the wallpaper but it is also changeable giving it an extra added advantage.

iOS 16 has a Photo sharing option that shares family photos to the shared gallery of everyone whose phones are attached with. With this feature, all family members can have an equal amount of shared photos together.

Google Photos have also been using this technique by means of using the Partner Sharing option for a long period of time.

Apple Maps now let you add 15 stops to a route on the map while Google Maps are still stuck at 10 stops per route.

Both Google and iOS have an advanced voice recognition feature that helps them to generate captions for any content swifter and more efficiently.

Google and iOS have already done it now it’s time for android to upgrade itself.

On 6th June, the audience will learn about Apple’s scheme of iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, & tvOS 16.

iOS 16 is all set to hit the market

WWDC 2022 is upgrading the whole operating system that’ll show up in the next iPhone models.

However, according to the rumours, Apple is planning to renovate the notification settings and lock screen settings while adding more competence to focus mode.

iPadOS 16 capacity and changes

According to Bloomberg’s reporter Gurman, iPadOS 16 will have major changes to windowing & multitasking.

Although the rumours turns out to be true, the users will be able to take full advantage of the upgraded system which will be available with the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air models with the M1 chip.

All about macOS 13

During WWDC 2022, Apple will introduce macOS 13 with transition features from Intel Macs to the company’s silicon now concluded.

There will be exclusive features in it. However, macOS 13 won’t have a health app included in mac air. Hence, the users will have to work on Mac without a fitness app another year.

Watch your time on WatchOS 9

WatchOS 9 is expected to have some upgraditon and changes during WWDC 2022.

The rumours believe that there can be slight change in appearance as compared to old models.

Likewise, there will be slight change in its display, it’ll also include low power mode along with new health measurements and day-to-day navigation

Any change in tvOS this year?

In WWDC 2021 (last year), Apple completely forgot about tvOS. So hopefully, this time tvOS 16 will be in the list.

According to Gurman (Bloomberg’s reporter), this time tvOS 16 will have more smart-home tie-ins, which is quite impressive from this operating system.

MacBook Air 2022

Apart from launching different operating systems, Apple can launch a brand new MacBook Air 2022 during WWDC with M2 chips in the new MacBook.

If this happens, the users can expect a totally new-designed MacBook with upgraded M chips.
