The smartphone comes in Shiny Gold, Galaxy White, and Timber Black color options. It arrives in a single storage variant- 4GB/128GB priced at Rs.7,799. The device is available for purchase via Flipkart. No-cost EMI facility is also available for the buyers.

Infinix is certainly on a roll, launching new smartphones each month. We have seen just a month earlier Infinix launched Infinix Smart 8 in the Indian market. And now adding to the list is the Infinix Smart 8 Plus which is now launched in the Indian market, under the budget segment. Just a day before, reports indicated that Infinix would launch this smartphone in the Indian market on March 1st, 2024.

Infinix Smart 8 Plus

For those unaware, this is an entry-level smartphone from Infinix. Despite belonging to the entry segment, it offers some commendable features at its price point. It boasts a premium timber texture finish and a 6.6″ HD+ 90 Hz display that delivers up to 500 nits brightness. Additionally, this smartphone provides a Magic Ring notification feature alongside its punch hole display.

Under the hood, it houses a Helio G36 Octa-Core processor with up to 8GB of RAM (4GB + 4GB Extended RAM). Operating on XOS 13 based on Android 13 Go, it offers both a side fingerprint sensor and a Face Unlock option.

In the battery option, you will find a 6000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. In the camera department, you will get a 50MP Dual AI rear camera. For selfie lovers, there is an 8MP front camera setup. There is a triple card slot and the memory is also expandable up to 1TB.

Pricing and Availability

This smartphone has been launched in India with a single storage variant of 128GB. The company has priced it at Rs 7,799 and it is available in three color options: Galaxy White, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black. The open sale of this smartphone will start from March 9th onwards.

Infinix had already unveiled its Smart 8 Plus device late last month and it is to debut today on the 1st of March 2024 in the Indian market. Its key specs are the MediaTek Helio G36 chipset, Android 13(Go Edition) based XOS 13, 6.6″ IPS LCD 720 x 1612 pixels 90Hz display, 50MP(main) + 0.08MP(auxiliary lens) dual rear camera unit, 8MP selfie camera, 6000 mAh battery, and 18W wired fast charging. The launch will take place via Flipkart and its landing page is already live.

Samsung Galaxy F15 5G – 4th March

The South Korean tech company, Samsung, will be unveiling the Galaxy F15 5G smartphone three days later on the 4th of March 2024, and the launch page has been listed on Flipkart. Some key specs have been revealed such as the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, sAMOLED display, and 6000 mAh battery backup.

Lava Blaze Curve 5G – 5th March

Lava’s Latest Blaze Curve 5G will be officially launched on the 5th of March 2024, and the device will be made available through the Amazon shopping website. The revealed specifications are the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM of 8GB, UFS 3.1 storage of 256GB, AMOLED 120Hz display screen, 64MP Sony main camera, 5000 mAh battery, and 18W fast charge support.

Nothing Phone (2a) – 5th March

The mid-range Nothing Phone (2a) which features a different glyph interface design when compared to the brand’s Phone (1) and Phone (2) devices will also be launched on the 5th of March 2024. The expected specifications of this device include the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, 8GB/128GB & 12GB/256GB storage options, and 45W wired charging feature.

Realme 12 & Realme 12+ – 6th March

Two of Realme’s 12 series smartphones, the Realme 12 and the Realme 12+ devices, are all set to debut in India on the 6th March 2024. Flagship luxury watch design, Sony LYT-600 OIS camera, MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G processor, AMOLED 120Hz rainwater touch display, and in-display fingerprint scanner are some of its teased specs. Also to add, the Realme 12+ device was unveiled in the Indonesian market very recently.

Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro – 7th March

Vivo V30 and V30 Pro devices have already been unveiled and both these device will be launched in India on the 7th of March 2024. The V30 smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, whereas the V30 Pro device will come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset.

Xiaomi 14 – 7th March

The latest Xiaomi 14 smartphone will also be having its launch on the 7th of March 2024. The specifications of the device includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Android 14 based Xiaomi HyperOS, 6.36″ LTPO OLED 1200 x 2670 pixels 120Hz display, 50MP(main) + 50MP(telephoto) + 50MP(ultrawide) triple rear camera setup, 32MP front-facing camera, 4610 mAh battery, and 90W wired & 50W wireless fast charging features.

iQOO Z9 5G – 12th March

The iQOO Z9 5G launch will be taking place in the country on the 12th of March 2024. Recently, the brand has officially confirmed its processor, and some of the other key specs were revealed too before that. Its key specs are the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, Android 14 OS, FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz display, 50MP Sony IMX882 OIS main camera, and 44W fast charge support.

Realme Narzo 70 Pro

An exact launch date for Realme’s Narzo 70 Pro smartphone hasn’t been announced yet, but the brand has confirmed that the launch will be in the month of March 2024, this month. The upcoming device is teased to have 65% less bloatware and it will be housing a Sony IMX890 OIS main camera.

The Hong Kong-based smartphone maker, Infinix, has already launched five smartphones in its Smart 8 series – Infinix Smart 8, Infinix Smart 8 (India), Infinix Smart 8 HD, Infinix Smart 8 Plus, and the Infinix Smart 8 Pro. The Infinix Smart 8 Plus was unveiled late last month and this device is debuting in the Indian market tomorrow.

Infinix Smart 8 Plus – Launching in India on 1st March

The Infinix Smart 8 Plus Indian launch, as per mentioned, has been scheduled for tomorrow on the 1st of March 2024 at 12PM local time, and the Flipkart landing page is now live with some of its key specs.

Infinix’ soon-to-be-launched Smart 8 Plus device will be packing a 6000 mAh battery supporting 18W type-C fast charging, and users will be able to enjoy 90-hours of music listening time, 47-hours of calling time, and 45-hours of video playback time. Power Marathon is also pointed out as a feature of the device.

This smartphone device will also be offered with storage configurations with up to 8GB RAM (4GB inbuilt + 4GB virtual) and 128GB storage. An expandable storage of up to 2TB is also supported. Up to 30,000+ photos, up to 22,500+ music files, and up to 6,000+ videos can also be stored on the device.

The brand has also claimed the device to be the most stylish phone in the segment with a Timber Texture Finish and three color variants. However, four colors have been listed on the landing page – Crystal Green, Shiny Gold, Timber Black, and Galaxy White.

For its display, there is a 6.6″ (16.7 cm) HD+ display supporting 90Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits brightness. A Magic Ring is also supported with features like Face Unlock, Background Call, Charging Animation, Charge Completion Reminder, and Low Battery Reminder. Apart from the Face Unlock feature, for security, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner is also present.

Speaking of its processor, the device will use MediaTek’s Helio G36 octa-core chipset. It will also be running on the Android 13 based XOS 13 operating system.

About the camera, a 50MP dual AI camera system is present at the rear, along with a Quad LED Ring Flash. For selfies, there will also be an 8MP front-facing camera as well.

Other revealed key specs are the DTS Sound Processing System and the triple card slot with slots for two nano SIM cards and a microSD card. Its durability is also a notable feature.

With its launch tomorrow, the price details and the storage models that will be made available for purchase can be confirmed. To note, the Flipkart landing page also states that customers will be able to purchase the product at a special launch price of Rs. 6,XXX after its launch tomorrow.

Now the smartphone maker has launched another smartphone in the market named Infinix Smart 8 Plus. This smartphone features a 6.6 inch wide 90 Hz display and is powered by Helio G36 chipset.

The Infinix Smart 8 Plus smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio G36 chipset paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128 storage. It runs Android 13 Go based XOS 13 out of the box. 

It features a 6.6-inch wide IPS LCD display with punch hole cutout and HD+ resolution of 720×1612 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio,90 Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness. 

It is backed by a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 18W charging via USB-C port. In the camera department, the smartphone sports a 50 MP primary camera with an AI lens on the rear side. The front side of the smartphone sports an 8MP selfie camera. Additionally, it is also equipped with the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm jack. It measures 163.65 x 75.7 x 8.95mm and weighs 204 grams.

Price and availability

The company has yet not confirmed its availability and price. It will be available for buyers in four colour options such as Timber Black, Galaxy White, and Shiny Gold.
