Grok Bot

Bots have their own computer. They sign in to the tools you already use and work across apps, inboxes and more. They finish jobs end-to-end, and only come back when something needs your approval.

It is easy to get started with Grok Bot. You can message a Bot like a colleague from your phone or desktop and hand off the work. Other AI tools may ask you to set up and build workflows and routines first. With Grok Bot, simply message a Bot to take on a task, and it gets it done.

Instead of multiple agents you have to manage, Grok Bot gives you a small team that can work in parallel, so you’re not the middleman. Bots can independently message each other and share context in threads. When projects overlap, they stay aligned on the same account or project without requiring you to paste notes between chats.

You can also place Bots in a group chat where they can coordinate on their own. They pass work, assign ownership, and only pull you in for judgment calls.

You can ask a Bot to follow along the next time you do a job, so that it watches the steps and remembers how you like the work done. It saves your workflow as a routine, takes your corrections, and runs it on its own next time, so you can hand off the same multi-step process without re-explaining it again.

Bots can follow up on threads you dropped, nudge a stalled handoff, and pick work back up from previous conversations. Over time, they become more proactive, picking up work before you need to ask and knowing when something needs your attention.

Currently, the SpaceXAI team is using Grok Bot for sales outbound, demo readiness, pipeline ops, and account follow-up.

Availability

Grok Bot is in beta and available for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers on desktop and iOS. Enterprise users can join a waitlist for future access. Grok Bot will also be made available for Android users soon.

Malaysia’s action was confirmed by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), which shared an official media briefing through its verified X (formerly Twitter) account, explaining the reasons behind the decision.

The statement reads, ” The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has directed a temporary restriction on access to X’s artificial intelligence chatbot, Grok, for users in Malaysia, effective 11 January 2026.”

The MCMC said in a statement that the decision follows repeated misuse of Grok to generate obscene, sexually explicit, indecent, grossly offensive, and non-consensual manipulated images. The commission highlighted that some of the content involved women and minors, raising serious legal and safety concerns.

According to MCMC, formal notices were issued to X Corp. and xAI LLC on 3 January 2026 and 8 January 2026, demanding the implementation of effective technical safeguards and stronger moderation systems. These measures were intended to prevent AI-generated content that could violate Malaysian laws, including Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

However, the responses submitted by X Corp. on 7 January and 9 January reportedly relied largely on user-initiated reporting systems. MCMC stated that this approach failed to address the inherent risks associated with the design and operation of the AI system.

MCMC further added that access to Grok will remain restricted until effective safeguards are implemented, particularly those aimed at protecting women and children from harmful and abusive content.

Despite the suspension, the commission confirmed that it remains open to engagement with X Corp. and xAI LLC, provided there is clear and demonstrable compliance with Malaysian law.

The commission also urged members of the public to promptly report harmful online content to MCMC and, where necessary, lodge police reports with the Royal Malaysia Police.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the UK, Canada, Australia, and several European countries are also reviewing Grok AI’s operations. However, as of now, only Indonesia and Malaysia have officially suspended access to the service.

How to access Grok AI Assistant with the Action Button on iPhone?

First, you need to install the Grok app with the updated version on your iPhone. Then-

• Open Settings
• Tap on Action Button
• Swipe to select Shortcut
• Tap to choose a shortcut
• Search for the Grok app
• Select “Talk to Grok” as your action

After this, just press and hold the action button for instant Grok access. Moreover, you can trigger Grok from the Lock Screen or any app with your Action Button.

Kids Mode is a specially designed safe space for kids, enabling them to learn with AI in a secure environment. The mode is said to include strict content filters to avoid controversial topics like politics or sensitive content. Parents can activate this mode in the Grok app, and there are also parental controls like PIN or Face ID.

In the Grok app, you can go to Settings, tap on Kids Mode to turn it on. In Kids mode, you will see cartoon characters as your companion, while there is also a lock Kids Mode option, tapping on which parents will need to create a PIN that will be required to turn off Kids Mode.

This new voice is available alongside Ara (upbeat female), Eve (soothing female), Rex (calm male), and Sal (smooth male) voice options. To try out the new voice, Android users should update the Grok app. This offers an enhanced experience to users with culturally diverse voice options.

Recently, a new update was made available for Grok on the App Store (iOS devices), which will bring a refreshed design to the Imagine feature. A Make video with Grok feature was also introduced for iOS users to turn an image on X into a video in 17 seconds. xAI has previously introduced the new ‘Auto’ and ‘Expert’ modes on Grok, which now let users access the latest Grok 4 absolutely free of cost. xAI also upgraded the PDF processing capability for its Grok 4 AI assistant.

Grok Heavy Subscribers Receive Imagine and Valentine Access

Imagine and Valentine are new AI features that have been brought out by xAI, and just recently the company CEO – Elon Musk himself shared via his X handle that the early access to these AI features will be rolled out to Grok Heavy users soon. Following this, Elon Musk has now confirmed on X that it is now accessible to Grok Heavy subscribers.

Also, he has re-posted a video shared by another X user, showcasing Imagine’s capability to create using voice commands. The user can also be seen giving follow-up prompts, and the AI feature can be seen giving outputs as required by him.

Speaking more, Imagine is xAI’s creative engine that makes use of the Aurora AI model, and it is capable of generating digital media such as images and videos with prompts. Users relying on Imagine will be able to generate both images as well as videos. On the other hand, Valentine is revealed to be an interactive digital persona that appears like a dark-haired and moody male character. Its goal is to serve as an AI companion, with a both charming and mysterious personality, and that allows users to have natural and engaging conversations with it.

This is SuperGrok’s new Personas feature, currently rolling out on the web, while this feature will be released for the mobile app soon.

Four different modes-

• Auto mode- AI picks the optimal model for your query. With Auto mode, Grok automatically assesses your query’s complexity and adjusts its reasoning depth. For simple tasks, it provides direct and faster answers. For complex tasks, it employs deeper reasoning. The Auto mode is set by default, but you can tap to change the mode.
• Fast- Prioritizes speed for quick answers
• Expert- Uses Grok 4 for deep, thoughtful analysis on complex topics
• Heavy- Simulates a team of experts for multifaceted insights

Auto, Fast, and Expert models are available to all X users on the web now, with limits for free accounts. Heavy mode requires an upgrade to SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ for access.

There are two AI Companions available: Ani, an anime girl, and Bad Rudy, a 3D fox creature. A third character can also be seen, which will be coming soon.

To enable this feature, follow these steps-

• Open the Grok app
• Press the two bars in the upper left of the screen
• Click on the settings icon in the bottom right of the screen
• Turn on Companions

Do note that before enabling the Companion feature, you do need to update the Grok app on your iPhone. Musk has revealed that turning on this feature will be made easier in a few days. For now, it’s a soft launch to make sure things are stable and working well.

This feature will allow SuperGrok subscribers to enable and interact with AI companions within the app. It is still not known whether these companions are designed to serve as romantic interests or if they are more like different skins for Grok.

Last week, xAI officially released the Grok 4 model with two modes- Grok 4 and Grok 4 Heavy. During the launch event, Musk revealed that Grok 4 will be capable of responding and taking up tasks in every subjects at PhD level, and the Grok 4 Heavy model is the brand’s ‘multi-agent version’ that assures an even better performance to its users by assigning the task to multiple agents and compares the works to reach the best answer.

Is Google Search Indexing Grok Conversations?

While brands have been assuring safety and privacy across their AI services and taking necessary steps to prevent any misuse of the features, it has come to notice that Google Search has been indexing Grok conversations that have been made by X users (received via @gaganghotra_). xAI’s Grok chat bot which is a direct competitor for OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini was recently introduced as a web version too, and one of its new key features is the ‘Temporary Mode’ that enables users to have conversations with the history not being saved anywhere or used to train language models.

As per what has been shared, a large amount of chat made by Japanese X users with Grok have been indexed on Google Search, and it is not sure whether users are aware about this or not. Just to add, Japan is said to be ranked second as per region-wise number of X users, and do note that Grok’s chat data is being exposed to the public through one of its competitors. Moreover, this news comes following the introduction of the Grok web version.
