Hackers have been targeting the Indian government portal by utilizing a bogus URL to trick users into submitting sensitive information such as credit card numbers, expiration months, and CVV codes.

They are imitating the browser window of the Indian government website, most often SSO (single sign-on) pages, with a unique login, in a most advanced Phishing technique known as Browser in the Browser (BitB) attack.

BitB attacks legitimate sites with the intention to steal user credentials and other sensitive data such as personally identifiable information (PII).

“The bad actors have also replicated the original page’s user interface. Once their victims click on the phishing page, a pop-up appears on the phoney window claiming that their systems have been blocked, posing as a notification from the Home Affairs Enforcement and Police,” the researchers claimed according to TimesNow.

The users are then notified of their excessive use of pornographic websites which is illegal according to Indian law and are requested to pay a fine of Rs 30,000 to unlock their systems.

It is a civil service portal in Russia where various jobs related to civil service is available. As per the images posted in the tweeter, it claims that they are posting messages and comments by making a forum post on the website. All of these declare to end the war and reveal the truth about the situation in Ukraine due to the Russian invasion.

A message from the forum states that Putin is lying about the war. It also claims that Ukrainians are not Nazis and they don’t kill their citizens. They are just trying to stay alive. Russian troops are targeting civilian homes and hospitals to try and dampen Ukrainian morale. Furthermore, the message continues, stating that Mariupol is destroyed. More than 25,000 civilians are estimated to have died in Mariupol since the invasion began. According to DoomSec, they are requesting to stop the killing and the war.

Anonymous has raised the stakes in the battle. In an attempt to cease the war against Ukraine, many cyber-attacks have been conducted against the aggressor, Russia. Several Russian-based websites have previously been taken down. Millions of people have perished since then, towns and cities like Mariupol are in ruins, and 13 million people have been forced to flee their homes. Ukrainian attacks near the Russian border in Kharkiv, according to sources, have made Moscow anxious.

The Anonymous collective’s cyber battle against Russia will continue until Putin’s aggression in Ukraine ceases. They will continue to hack and leak sensitive information. The statement was made in response to recent claims of Russian aggression in Ukraine. The group has exposed the data of 120,000 Russian soldiers since Russia invaded Ukraine. It also took over state-run media to broadcast footage of Ukraine’s true destruction.
