The leading SUV manufacturer of India, Mahindra has started the auction for its Exclusive Edition XUV400 electric car and the bidding crosses 1 crore in less than an hour.

The Exclusive Edition XUV400

The bidding for the Exclusive Edition XUV400 has started today, on the 26th of January 2023 at 11 am and will be active till midnight of the 31st of January 2023. In just 21 minutes, the bidding crosses 1 crore with still five days more to go.

The Exclusive Edition of the XUV400 is designed by Pratap Bose, the Chief Design Officer at Mahindra Groups along with the award-winning fashion designer, Rimzim Dadu.

The car will feature Rimzim Dadu-inspired blue colour body along with a dual-tone copper roof and piano black alloy wheels.

The seats are Rimzim Dadu X Bose Copper branded leather seats with copper stitching and blue colour inserts along with seatbelts featuring Rimzim Dadu’s signature blue colour.

It will also include Rimzim Dadu’s signature wire blue coloured cushions, a duffle bag, and detachable sleek pockets. The car also includes Rimzim Dadu X Bose Copper branded armrest and floor mats.

The standard edition of the XUV400 has two models – EC and EL.

The XUV400 EC is equipped with a 34.5 kWh battery pack and will give its users a range of upto 375 Km and the XUV400 EL comes with a 39.4 kWh battery and offers its users a range of upto 456 Km. The XUV400 Exclusive Edition might be based on the EL model.

The winning bidder will be given the prize by the Chairman of Mahindra, Mr Anand Mahindra on the 10th of February, 2023 in Hyderabad. The winner will also be gifted an exclusive inaugural pass to the all-electric FIA Formula E championship which is to be conducted on the 11th of February in Hyderabad.

The money collected from the auction will be donated either to support the winners of the Mahindra Rise Sustainability Champion Awards or to an NGO of the winning bidder’s choice.

Here’s How to Participate

Register and pay a caution deposit of Rs. 10,000 inorder to participate in the auction. The registered participants will be able to bid from the 26th of January to the 31st of January, 2023 till midnight.

The caution deposit will be returned to the participants if he or she doesn’t win the auction. The initial starting amount of the bidding was 25 lakhs and has now crossed Rs. 1 crore.

Mahindra & Mahindra sold 34,262 units in September 2022, up from 12,863 units in the same period in 2021, representing a 166.4 percent increase year on year.

Laxman Narasimhan has almost 30 years of expertise managing and giving advice to international brands that cater to consumers. He joined Reckitt as its CEO in September 2019, and according to the Anglo-Dutch global FMCG giant, which owns well-known household brands like Dettol, Lysol, Harpic, Durex, Veet, and Strepsils, he successfully revived the company’s strategy, execution, and fundamental competencies.

Laxman has led challenging operational businesses in the past and motivated teams in mature and developing countries to deliver performance that led the market. Reckitt noted that this, along with his strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, makes him a strong candidate for the position. Laxman graduated from the University of Pune’s College of Engineering with a degree in mechanical engineering. He holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania and an MA in German and International Studies from The Lauder Institute at The University of Pennsylvania.

On Monday, Anand Mahindra takes on Twitter to announce the launch of two new brands Mahindra XUV.e and Mahindra BE along with the INGLO electric platform as part of its plans to catch the growing EV market globally.

The new brands come with five new models with three under BE and two under Mahindra XUV electric – namely BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09, XUV.e9, and XUV.e8.

The Launch of the first of these new cars is expected by the end of 2024.

Anand Mahindra, a business magnate, recently posted a photo of the “latest technology to dry clothes” on Twitter, which has left the Twitterati in splits and amused.

Mahindra shared a cartoon of two women speaking by a regular rope in a yard with clothes drying over it strung from both ends on the microblogging website.

“It dries the washing using the latest technology — a combination of solar and wind power,” a woman was seen telling another one.

“Sometimes, the ‘latest’ technology is just about going back to the basics…,” Image captioned by Mahindra.

Users of Twitter were immediately moved by the caricature. Many of them contributed relevant stories to the comments section.

An 85-year-old K. Kamalthal resident of Coimbatore known as “Idli Patti” or “Idli Grandmother” was recently given a brand-new home by the head of the Mahindra Group.

On Mother’s Day, the Mahindra Group gave the elderly woman a 300 square foot home with a living room, dining area, attached bedroom, and single bathroom in Vadivelampalayam, a neighbourhood outside of Coimbatore.

Idli Patti began selling idlis at 25 paise each before raising the price by 50 paise to sell them for Re 1 each.

The popular Made-in-India Mahindra XUV300 was confirmed as Africa’s first GNCAP’s 5-star car. Previously it also achieved a five-star GNCAP crash test rating among Indian cars. It is to be noted that both Indian and African NCAP programmes share the same assessment protocols. After following a production compliance review, the model’s rollout in Africa was confirmed the rating. 

#SaferCarsForAfrica programme was inaugurated on 28 January 2021 in partnership with AA South Africa. The Mahindra XUV300 was the first model to be rated under the programme. The #SafeCarsForAfrica campaign was also supported by the FIA Foundation and Bloomberg Philantrophies. The campaign was first launched by Global NCAP in the year 2017. 

The Mahindra XUV300 was introduced in South Africa in mid-2019. It went on to become one of Mahindra South Africa’s best sellers. The  Mahindra XUV300 is also one of the best of 19 models from top global carmakers tested in the #SafeCarsForAfrica campaign from 2017 to 2022.

On Monday, Indian Billionaire Anand Mahindra takes on Twitter to appreciate the milestone that India has achieved of vaccinating 90% of adults against COVID-19.

Along with his post, he also shares the tweet of Firstpost where they informed about India’s achievement of vaccinating 90% of adults.

According to the Firstpost, Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday informed that 90% of India’s adult population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

“What an extraordinary feat! With PM @NarendraModi Ji’s mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Prayas, India achieves complete vaccination of 90% of its adult population. Way to go! We will win the battle against the pandemic together! ,” the health minister tweeted.

The Ex – Commando Praveen Kumar Teotia asks Anand Mahindra about providing jobs to ‘Agniveers’ says, ‘what jobe you are providing me?’

Who is Praveen Kumar Teotia?

Praveen Kumar Teotia is an Ex-Marine Commando Force (MARCOS) personnel who claimed of saving 185 lives including Gautam Adani’s life in the Taj terror attack on 26/11.

During the 26/11 terror attacks, he took 4 bullets to save the lives of innocent people at Taj Hotel.

One bullet straightaway hit his chest which damaged four ribs of his right lung. Another bullet attacked on his bulletproof collar and other bullet damaged his heart’s wall.

Post the attacks, the Navy officer stayed in the hospital for 19 days for recovery. Later, he was dropped out from the Navy Force which affected his income.

Teotia is the only lung damage survivor in the world whose recovery is nothing less than a miracle, according to medical science.

In 2018, he won the prestigious Ironman Triathlon Championship in April 2018, South Africa. It included 3.86km swimming, 180.25km bicycle ride and a 42.2km run. He also completed the race in 14 hours, 19 minutes and 38 seconds.

Praveen also captured Khardung La Challenge, a 72 KM marathon in Ladakh which is considered the toughest marathon in the world.

Additionally, he is also considered the First Specially Abled IRONMAN of India who was also awarded for Shaurya Chakra.

What did Praveen Kumar Teotia question?

Praveen Kumar recently questioned Anand Mahindra over his statement that he will provide jobs to all the ‘Agniveers’.

Few days back, Anand Mahindra announced ‘The Mahindra Group welcomes the opportunity to recruit such trained, capable young people’ amid the dangerous protests  that took place in numerous cities of India.

Many government properties including city buses and trains were damaged by the protesters.

Initially, the Agnipath Scheme was announced by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 14th June. According to the scheme, 46,000 soldiers to the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force are to be added.

Moreover, the scheme claimed that the entry would be done within 4years.

A number of people questioned his announcement based on providing jobs to ‘Agniveers’. His tweet thread included numerous questions like, What jobs you are providing? Is there any certain eligibility needed?

Adding to which, Praveen Kumar Teotia questioned Anand Mahindra via tweet,’ I’m still unemployed after 15 years of Service. Even I saved 185 lives in Taj including @gautam_adani during 26/11.
