Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta coming up next month

The beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is all set to come next month, with PlayStation users being able to access it before those on Xbox and PC.

Infinity Ward shares the news at the CDL Champs (Call of Duty League Championship) tournament.

As with its previous betas, the dates are separated by console and whether someone preorders the game or not.

For PS4 and PS5 users who preordered the game, the first early access beta will come out from September 16th to 17th.

This is followed by the open beta for all PS users, which starts on September 18th and ends on the 20th.

The cross-play beta for players who have preordered the game on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC will last from September 22nd to 23rd, while the open cross-play beta for all platforms starts on September 24th and ends on the 26th. Each session begins at 1 PM ET.

Infinity Ward at CDL Champs also teases a new multiplayer map called Grand Prix which is set on a racetrack. The map will be available to play during the beta.
