The Vi Smartphone Program has been launched in India for Vodafone Idea prepaid subscribers. The Vi subscribers who upgrade to a 4G or 5G phone are eligible for a recharge discount worth Rs 2,400 as a part of the subscription program.
To get this discount recharges have to be made via the official Vi app on the smartphone. This program is available in selected states in India for a limited time period.
With the new Smartphone Program, Vi aims to push feature phone users towards smartphones. According to Vi, the Vi Smartphone Program is available for current users who upgrade to 4G or 5G.
Vi is yet to establish 5G connectivity and is apparently in talks with network vendors to finalize it. With this program, we can assume that the talks are in the final stages.
This Vi Smartphone Program is available to Vi users who upgrade to a smartphone or non-Vi users on a smartphone on purchase of a Vi SIM. The offer is valid from July 4th to September 30 in Punjab, Haryana, Chennai, and the rest of Tamil Nadu.
The customers eligible for the offer will be awarded a welcome SMS with the Rs 2,400 recharge discount details after a day of inserting the Vi SIM into their phone.
In order to claim the Vi Smartphone Program, new and existing subscribers must recharge with Truly Unlimited or Hero recharge packs worth Rs 299 or above.
Plans of Rs 319, Rs 359, Rs 368, Rs 399, Rs 409, Rs 475, Rs 479, Rs 499, Rs 539, Rs 599, Rs 601, Rs 666, Rs 719, Rs 839, Rs 901, Rs 902, Rs 903, Rs 1,066, Rs 1,499 Rs 1,999, Rs 2,899, Rs 2,999 and Rs 3,099 are the eligible plans.
