Jio becomes the quickest telecom operator in India to rollout 5G services with Airtel being at the second position

Cities all over India are becoming 5 G-ready at a fast pace with popular telecom operators like Jio and Airtel rolling out their 5G network services across India. Jio has promised to cover the entire country with its 5G services by December 2023 and Airtel has promised to deploy its 5G services in India by March 2024 they are constantly trying to fulfill this promise by launching their 5G services at an incredibly fast pace.

Reliance Jio is at the number one position as Jio 5G is now available in 257 cities where as the other leading telecom operator Airtel is in second position with 5G rollouts in 92 cities. If we talk about other telecom operators like Vodafone Idea and BSNL they still haven’t started the rollout of their 5G services.

Recently Airtel 5G was launched in Aizawl, making the Airtel 5G Plus services live in 92 cities. Bharti Airtel plans to expand 5G Plus services to 300 cities by March 2023 and cover all Urban areas by March 2024. Earlier in January Airtel announced the launch of 5G services in Agra, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

Reliance Jio has managed to launch its 5G network in more than 250 cities within 4 months of its launch. Jio has recently launched its 5G services in 17 cities making Jio 5G services live in 257 cities. The 17 cities in which Jio 5G services are launched – Ankleshwar, Savarkundla (Gujarat), Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Nadaun, Shimla ( Himachal Pradesh), Chhindwara, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar ( MP), Akola, Parbhani (Maharashtra), Bathinda, Khanna, Mandi Gobindgarh (Punjab), Bhilwara, Sri Ganganagar, Sikar ( Rajasthan), Haldwani – Kathgodam, Rishikesh, Rudrapur ( Uttarakhand).
