Bollywood Actress, Alia Bhatt in her recent OTT film, Darlings plays the role of Badrunissa Shaikhwho is a victim of domestic abuse. The film also stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew.
In the film, Vijay who plays the role of Badrunissa’s husband, Hamza Shaikh, assaults her until she decides to exact revenge by abducting and torturing him in the home where they both live.
In the official trailer of the film, Alia’s character is seen tieing her husband to a chair, hitting him with a pan, throwing away water on his face, and also submerging his face in the water.
Rather than kill her husband, she constantly makes efforts to take revenge by treating him the way he treated her.
Darlings will release on 5 August 2022. It’s directed by Jasmeet K. Reen, cinematographed by Anil Mehta, and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma.
