On 20th May there was some loud noise heard by the people of Bangalore. Soon after that speculations started to appear that we might have been attacked by aliens. And all kinds of information started flowing over the internet about the loud noise heard by the people of Bangalore.

People were quick to come to conclusions as it was never experienced by them. But soon all these rumors were put to an end by a series of tweets by PRO Bengaluru, Ministry of Defence. According to PRO Bengaluru, the Ministry of Defence, these loud noises were from a test flight and occurred because of the sonic boom. It also stated the reason behind the same that as the aircraft decelerated from 40000 to 36000 entering from supersonic to subsonic speeds which created the unnatural loud noises “Sonic Boom”.

Here are the tweets by PRO Bengaluru, Ministry of Defence

As claimed in the tweet the aircraft was flying far away as 65-80 kilometers away from the person and was far away from the city limits. So we say this time there was no alien attacks.
