Elon Musk is Facing a Lot of Criticism For Taking Away Real-Time Location from Twitter: Here’s What We Know

Elon Musk, the current CEO of Twitter has been inviting a lot of criticism for his actions on Twitter ever since he has taken ownership of the social media platform .

His recent decision of removing the real-time location feature from Twitter also wasn’t well received. Let’s look more into it.

Doxxing in Twitter

After the recent incident which took place in Los Angeles involving Elon Musk’s son, Lil X, he took the decision to remove the real-time location feature from Twitter.

Bari Weiss, the founder and editor of the Free Press had tweeted after this decision regarding of how Twitter hasn’t changed from its old regimes and still continues censorship on the platform. She has also mentioned her shock regarding how someone could have such a power over a platform where public opinions are shared.

Musk tried defending himself and his decision but was followed by a lot of other criticism. Many users have questioned him regarding whether the incident has taken place or not. A video shared by Elon Musk of a stalker following him is also supposedly untrue.

A Twitter user has also commented on how people use children as an excuse to take such decisions and receive empathy from the public.

The user has also shared a previous tweet by Musk which mentions how his firstborn child died in his hands followed by Justine Musk, his ex-wife coming forward to prove what Musk had told as not being true, as the child died in her arms.

Musk continues to receive criticism for his actions on Twitter. He has been changing rules of Twitter to his personal benefits and as per his ideas.

Users have also mentioned their despair regarding how Twitter has changed from what it was.
