Scammers targeted innocent people in the name of donations to help Ukraine

Fraudulent groups and scammers were been collecting the donations in the name of help to the Ukrainian refugees and war victims, pretending to be the Ukrainian humanitarian aid organization.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigated and alerted people to never give any money to the scammers. FBI has warned people to not to give any amount on such fradulent schemes seeking donations.

Consequently, scammers are taking advantage of the crisis in Ukraine by developing fake fundraising efforts. The fraudsters also were taking cryptocurrency donations.

The fraudsters particularly appeals to the emotions of the people which many of them may not be able to resist. Scammers play with the emotions of people and hence many of them paid for the Ukrainians who were affected by the war.

Hence, those who want to donate for helping Ukraine should check properly whether it is official or fake. They should ensure that they are only contributing to the official Ukrainian government websites and not the fraudsters. Ignore the suspicious donation emails, social media posts or any scam donation sites.
