You can now upgrade your system with the help of ASUS’s USB BIOS FlashBackTM tool.

This article will give you a detailed walkthrough of how to execute the update.

To update your motherboard with the help of BIOS FlasBackTM, you will require a USB flash drive and an ASUS motherboard with BIOS Flashback.

First of all, you will have to download the correct UEFI BIOS. You can visit the ASUS support site here, to download and extract the latest BIOS.CAP file.

After downloading the correct UEFI BIOS file, you should rename the file as instructed within the readme.txt of the zip file. You should save the renamed file to the top-level (root) folder on the USB storage device.

Next, shut down your system and keep the power supply connected.

After that, you will have to connect the USB storage device to the motherboard’s USB BIOS Flashback® port. After that press and hold the BIOS button for three seconds. Release the button when the LED begins to blink.
