Vivo and iQOO Officially Announced the Arrival of OriginOS 6 in India; Registration for OriginOS 6 Preview Opening on 29th September 2025 for Global and Indian Users

Ahead of its official release that has been scheduled in China for next month on the 10th of October 2025, Vivo and iQOO have now announced the arrival of the Android 16-based OriginOS 6 custom skin for their Indian users. Also, as earlier revealed, the OriginOS 6 Preview registration will be beginning early next week in both the Indian and global markets.

OriginOS 6 – Coming Soon in India

Via their official X handles, Vivo and its subsidiary – iQOO have now announced that the two are planning to start a new chapter/journey with the upcoming OriginOS 6 custom skin, and it is teased to offer smoother performance ~ ‘for every swipe, tap, and interaction’. To add, this announcement comes just a few hours after the ‘FuntouchOS India’ X page was renamed to ‘OriginOS’. Also, as revealed earlier today, the registration for the OriginOS 6 Preview will go live next week itself on the 29th of September 2025 for both the Indian and global users of Vivo/iQOO devices (received via @yabhishekhd).

While the brand hasn’t yet revealed the exact release date for the OriginOS 6 in Indian and global markets, a recent update had suggested it to take place next month in October 2025 (~ assuming that it may be along with the Chinese debut or may be on a later date*). About its features, a redesigned control center, new widgets, smoother animations, improved always-on display, and many more can be seen on the OriginOS 6 custom skin. Just to add, images of the Vivo X200 FE smartphone running on the OriginOS 6 custom skin was shared recently, and it has revealed its redesigned control center design.
