Samsung, the South Korean consumer electronics maker, has rolled out a new firmware update for its 2022-released Galaxy M23 5G smartphone. The update will carry the December 2023 Android security patch to the device.

Samsung Galaxy M23 5G – New Firmware Update
This update will have the firmware version of “E236BXXS5DXA5”, “E236BODM5DWL2”, or “E236BXXU5DWL2”. It has a total size of 204.12MB and the One UI version of 6.0 based on Android 14 OS, and as mentioned will be integrating last month’s December 2023 Android security patch.
A few of the other changelogs will include device stability improvements and bug fixes, new/enhanced features, and performance improvements. Certain apps can also be updated to their latest version after the firmware update.
Do note that while updating users won’t be able to use their mobile devices, even for emergency calls. Some settings may also change after the update process. The update won’t affect users’ personal data, but it is best advised to back up the device before updating.
