Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection, Knox Matrix Upgrades, and Added Quantum Resistance for WiFi Coming to One UI 8
With its new security enhancements, Samsung is bringing the Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (or KEEP), Knox Matrix upgrades, and also an added quantum resistance for WiFi connectivity on the Android 16-based One UI 8 custom skin. Speaking more, KEEP is being introduced to safeguard users as the reliance on AI tools increases day after day and unlike the Secure Folder, KEEP will be creating an isolated and encrypted space for each app on the device, thereby protecting the information from unauthorized access. The Personal Data Engine (or PDE) and the One UI AI features will thus remain protected at all times.
About the upgrades brought to Knox Matrix, Galaxy users will be receiving important notifications like security updates on their devices as well as warning alerts if their Samsung account is compromised as a result of any hacking attempts. On top of these, Knox Matrix will be signing out the Samsung account automatically when such an attempt is detected, preventing the attacker(s) from getting access to the user cloud data.
Also, with the NIST-certified ML-KEM scheme, post-quantum cryptographic resistance is offered on the brand’s Secure WiFi facility. Strengthened protection against harvesting threats and also when connected to public hotspots, are being offered to Galaxy users. Packet encryption, multi-point routing, and secure login are also a few other related security features.
