Oppo Pad 2 and Oppo Pad 3 Now Receiving Stable ColorOS 16 Update Based on Android 16

Oppo has now officially announced the rollout of the stable ColorOS 16 update based on Android 16 for Oppo Pad 2 and Oppo Pad 3. The confirmation comes via the brand’s announcement page, where Oppo states that the rollout has currently started in the Indonesian region. In the same announcement, the company also confirms that the update will be expanded to other regions as well, although an exact timeline for wider availability has not yet been shared.

For users tracking the rollout, the firmware versions are as follows:

  • Oppo Pad 2: OPD2202_16.0.2.400(EX01)
  • Oppo Pad 3: OPD2406_16.0.2.400(EX01)

While the rollout is now live, it may take around one to two weeks for the update to reach all eligible units in the current region. Users who do not wish to wait can also manually apply for the update through the release candidate channel by navigating to Settings > System & update > Software update, tapping the top of the screen, selecting the gear icon, and then choosing Beta program > Release candidate > Apply Now. Oppo also advises users to back up important data before installing any major software update.
