As announced earlier, Oppo has today officially unveiled its latest custom skin, ColorOS 16. at Oppo Developer Conference 2025 held in China. The company has revealed the features of ColorOS 16, the upgrade plan for the internal testing, and official version rollout.

ColorOS 16: Features
ColorOS 16 introduces seamless animation, next-level fluidity across various user scenarios, while within Oppo’s native apps, animations start from the point of touch and return smoothly when dismissed. It comes with Luminous Rendering Engine and Trinity Engine. Users can personalize their devices by setting Motion Photos or videos as wallpapers, choosing from a wide range of fonts, or letting AI suggest text styles to match the wallpaper. There are AI-inspired themes and light field textures.
It introduces full-screen AOD, and a single tap transitions the AOD smoothly into the full lock screen for ultimate cohesion. With the Flux Home screen, users can now long-press any folder or app icon to resize it into various shapes. It adds AI Portrait glow to its suite of photo editing solutions that include AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Remover. The built-in video editor has been upgraded with Master Cut, offering trimming, speed controls, music integration, cropping, and other features.
With ColorOS 16, O+ Connect supports both Mac and Windows PCs for smooth transfers. Screen Mirroring lets users cast up to 5 apps from their phone and control them using a mouse and keyboard. To help users in communications, there is an AI one-click memory and the Xiabou assistant.
ColorOS for Pad includes a new desktop layout, PC-level WPS, and AI handwritten notes, while ColorOS for Watch includes an inspiration dial and fluid cloud flow.
ColorOS 16: Availability
Oppo Find X9 series, Oppo Pad 5, OnePlus 15, and OnePlus Ace 6 will be the first to be equipped with ColorOS 16 in China.
