OnePlus Opens Android 16 Closed Beta Applications for OnePlus 13s and OnePlus 13 in India

Recently, Samsung announced the Android 16 Closed Beta for the Galaxy S24 series, Z Flip6, and Z Fold7, while Nothing also revealed the Android 16 Closed Beta for the Nothing Phone (3). Now, OnePlus has officially joined the list, opening applications for the Android 16 Closed Beta programme.
For the OnePlus 13s, you’ll need to be an active member of the OnePlus Community, ready to share feedback through the OS Testing App, and willing to join the official CBT Telegram group. Your phone must be running version CPH2723_15.0.2.501(EX01) or CPH2723_15.0.2.400(EX01) to apply.
The OnePlus 13 CBT is open only to Indian variant users, and your device must be on version CPH2649_15.0.0.840(EX01).
Applications are open from 11 to 12 August, with just 300 spots for each model. If you’re selected, remember that OnePlus has strict confidentiality rules; no screenshots, videos, or feature leaks are allowed. You also can’t run benchmarking apps or share the update package.
But here’s the thing, this is an early test version, not the final release. It could have bugs and performance issues, so it’s better not to install it on your main phone.
Rollback option
If you want to return to the stable version, you can download the official rollback package for OnePlus 13s(link to be provided by OnePlus) or OnePlus 13, and install it via Local OTA update. The process will wipe all your data, so make sure to back up everything first.
How to apply
Go to Settings > About device > Up to date, tap the icon in the top right, select Beta program, and follow the steps. After approval, you’ll be able to download the update from the same menu.
