The Chinese consumer electronics maker – OnePlus has officially released its latest OxygenOS 16 custom skin based on the Android 16 operating system for global users. Along with its specs and features, the brand has also shared its roll-out schedule as well.

Here’s more about it.

OxygenOS 16 Custom Skin – Officially Released

Firstly looking at its AI-related features, OnePlus AI brings a perfected Plus Mind with capabilities like Voice Note, Smart Collections, and Google Gemini integrations. Users can record a 60-second voice note by longing pressing the Plus Key, automatically sort or group similar items, and vocally search anything on the Mind Space. With AI Writer, Smart Captions will provide engaging captions for different platforms and Text to Mind Map & Table will help in converting any project outline as text document into visual mind map or structured table. There is also the AI Recorder Assistant which offers Smart Titles & Summaries and AI Noise Cancellation.

In terms of the UI experience, heavy-duty stability and seamless parallel animations are notable changelogs. The OxygenOS 16 custom skin has undergone rigorous testing and it can very easily handle multiple tasks at the same time. Throughout the system, users can expect fluid and system-wide animations for a responsive user experience. About its overall design, the Flux Theme can enable its users to set motion photos and videos as their lock screen wallpaper, along with deep-depth effects as well as various fonts, sizes, and colors. Coming to the Home Screen and Fluid Cloud, more icon and widget sizes, multiple app drawer categories, and more app support for Fluid Cloud have been given. Airy Vibes and Optical Lights bring a softer and more harmonious visual experience, with rounded corners and Gaussian blur.

Regarding the inter-connectivity aspects, a seamless connection experience is guaranteed with OxygenOS 16. The Phone Screen Cast to PC can help users to mirror their phone screen onto their PC devices, and this can be done either through a USB connection or stable cloud link. Thanks to this capability, OnePlus users will easily be able to give presentations or manage mobile apps much more effectively and conveniently. On the security side, a private computing cloud offering an Android-first Private Computing Cloud with CPU & GPU protection and a Plus Lock with Call to Lock and SIM Lock features are being offered on the latest custom skin.

Speaking of camera and creativity features, AI Portrait Glow, Motion Photo Enhancements, and All-Round Video Editor are a few notable capabilities. While taking portrait photos in harsh back-light or low indoor lighting situations, AI Portrait Glow will help in effectively eliminating dead light. The Motion Photo Enhancements provide specs like Collage creation and Slow-mo cinematic moments. An all-round video-editor brings inbuilt capabilities such as trimming, splitting, merging, speed-adjustment, adding background music, and converting video and Motion Photo formats.

Additionally on top of all these, OnePlus signature design easter eggs have also been added across the entire system and these can be found in the Calculator, OnePlus Dialer, and in the boot-up wizard.
