OnePlus announces OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 update for OnePlus 15R in India, brings January 2026 patch and new “Reply with SMS” option

OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 update for the OnePlus 15R in India. The company confirmed the rollout through a post on the OnePlus Community, noting that it is happening in phases, so not everyone will receive it at the same time.

The update comes with the firmware version IN: CPH2767_16.0.3.501(EX01) and includes the January 2026 Android security patch. It also adds a new “Reply with SMS” toggle, which lets users hide the SMS reply option from the incoming call screen. If you want to enable it, you’ll need to go to Contacts > three-dot menu > Settings > Answer/End calls > Reply with SMS.

There are also a few useful improvements to Private Safe. Users can now browse files using the side slider, search for files within folders, and share files directly from Private Safe. The app drawer has been slightly refined too, with new “Office” and “Finance” categories added to make apps easier to find. OnePlus says the update also improves overall system stability and performance.

So far, there’s no confirmation on when the update will reach users outside India. That said, OnePlus does appear to be picking up the pace with recent rollouts, so other regions could see the update arrive soon. For now, though, there’s no official timeline.
