OnePlus 15R and Nord 4 Receive March 2026 Security Update; New Timer Features Added

The March 2026 security patch update is now expanding to OnePlus 15R users in India and global regions. Along with this, it is also being rolled out for Nord 4 users, but currently only limited to the India region.

The OxygenOS 16.0.5.701 update is rolling out in India for the OnePlus 15R with the version number “CPH2767_16.0.5.701(EX01)” and in the global region with “CPH2769_16.0.5.701(EX01)”. For the Nord 4, it is the OxygenOS 16.0.5.700 update, which is rolling out with the version number “CPH2661_16.0.5.700(EX01)”. Since it is not a major upgrade, it is expected that the update size will be below 500MB.

Moving on, since the rollout for the updates has just been announced for both smartphones, it will take a week or two for the rollout to be completed. Talking about what’s new in the update, as per the changelog, both smartphones after the update will support multiple timers, meaning users will be able to run more than one countdown at the same time. Plus, it will also offer estimated stop times, so that if you set a timer, the phone will now show you the exact clock time it will end. Furthermore, Content Portal & App Clones have also been improved, in which if you use “App Cloner” (to have two versions of the same app, like WhatsApp), the system’s Content Portal can now interact with those cloned apps to share files or text more easily.

I feel that this is probably an SOTA update, the reason being that a similar kind of update was released for the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 13s smartphones. If that is the case, then OnePlus may soon be releasing the announcement page confirming the same.

Stay tuned for more updates!
