OnePlus 13s Gets OxygenOS 15.0.2.501 Update with BeaconLink, Split View, and More

The OnePlus 13s has become the first OnePlus device to receive a new update in August. We’re already a week into the month, yet no other OnePlus smartphones have started getting it.
The update is currently rolling out in India. Since the rollout has just started, it could take a week or two before it reaches all users, so if you haven’t received it yet, it should arrive soon. It comes with firmware version CPH2723_15.0.2.501(EX01) and is about 970.97 MB in size.
Interestingly, this update doesn’t include the August security patch, so it’s possible another update might follow later.

Coming to the changelog, this OxygenOS 15.0.2.501 update makes floating windows smoother to use, with better animations when opening, moving, or resizing them. Split View is now more flexible too; you’re no longer stuck with fixed screen ratios and can adjust app sizes however you like. In landscape mode, the divider can also be moved to change how much space each app takes.
Notifications in landscape have been simplified into small banners to reduce interruptions, and if you need to interact with one, just swipe down to open the app in a floating window without leaving your current screen.
And finally, two months after launch, the BeaconLink feature has arrived. You’ll find it under Settings – Mobile network, and it lets you send text, images, and voice messages to nearby people without needing the internet, perfect for times when mobile data or Wi-Fi isn’t available.
