OnePlus 13 OxygenOS 15.0.0.850 Update Adds Offline BeaconLink Messaging, New Features, and August 2025 Security Patch

OnePlus 13 was launched with the BeaconLink feature, and now a new update is rolling out that lets you send text, voice messages, and images via BeaconLink even when there’s no internet connection. This OxygenOS 15.0.0.850 update is currently being rolled out in India with the firmware version CPH2649_15.0.0.850(EX01). The update has a total size of 927 MB.

Apart from BeaconLink enhancements, it also introduces several new features and refinements for a smoother and more customisable experience. Animations for opening, repositioning, and resizing floating windows have been improved, making interactions feel more seamless.

Private Safe now allows you to share images and videos, customise album covers, and sort and view media by time. You can also add files directly under the “Other files” category. Split View gains flexibility with adjustable ratios, and in landscape mode, you can drag the divider to resize two displayed apps.

Recent tasks now let you change an app’s lock status by swiping down when tasks are stacked. Notifications in landscape mode appear as simplified banners to minimise interruptions, and you can swipe down on these to open the app in a floating window.

Tapping a button on a banner notification also launches the app in a floating window rather than full screen. Additionally, banner notification positions in landscape mode have been adjusted for less distraction. Finally, the August 2025 Android security patch is integrated to enhance overall system security.

Since the update is rolling out in phases, some users may not receive it immediately. If you don’t see the update yet, you’ll need to wait a little longer, as the full rollout process typically takes about a week or two.
