OnePlus 13 now getting January 2026 security patch with new “Reply with SMS” switch option

A new update for the OnePlus 13 is currently rolling out in the India region. The update brings not only the January 2026 security patch but also introduces a few new features, including a new “Reply with SMS” switch that allows users to hide the SMS reply option on the incoming call screen. This OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 update is currently rolling out in India with the version number IN: CPH2649_16.0.3.501(EX01). Speaking about the update size, it is around 946MB, and since this is a phased rollout, it may take a week or two before the rollout is fully completed.

With this update, the Photos app now supports editing images up to 50 million pixels without compromising image quality, allowing users to work more smoothly with ultra-high-resolution photos. A new bypass charging feature has also been added, which enables users to connect their phone to a charger during high-load activities such as gaming, live streaming, video playback, or navigation, while helping to reduce overheating and protect long-term battery health. App categorisation in Drawer mode has been improved with the addition of new “Office” and “Finance” categories, making it easier for users to find relevant apps. The update also integrates the January 2026 Android security patch to further enhance overall system security.
