Nothing Phone (3) gets a new Nothing OS V3.5-250801-1847 update with bug fixes and new features

Nothing Phone (3) recently opened applications for the Android 16 Closed Beta, with the deadline being August 3rd, 2025. The open beta is expected to roll out by September. While we wait for that, Nothing has released a new update for the phone (version V3.5-250801-1847), based on Android 15. Despite packing in quite a few changes, the update is only about 189 MB in size.

Here is what is new in this update?

One of the main features is the ability to save a Glyph Matrix styled photo when using the Glyph Mirror toy. The update also fixes an issue where ringtones would default to Classic mode in Generative mode and corrects problems with ringtone selection after transferring phone data. Additionally, a bug affecting the Glyph Interface response during Telegram calls has been resolved.

Camera improvements include the introduction of AI SuperRes Zoom, now supporting zoom levels between 20x and 30x. The shutter response has been improved for faster captures, and autofocus and colour accuracy have been enhanced for better photo quality.

The update also fixes a few general issues, such as the missing default search engine option in the App drawer and Search settings, and the second character disappearing in Universal Search. The Essential Notification border UI has been updated, and a problem where the cloned WhatsApp app couldn’t open PDF files has been resolved. For better app performance, Snapchat’s refresh rate has been improved, and 4K 60FPS videos no longer stutter in the Gallery. The Adaptive Brightness feature now adjusts more smoothly, and charging disconnections with certain third-party chargers have been fixed. Overall, the system stability has been improved, along with better copywriting in the interface.

Also, it’s worth noting that the phone may heat up during the update process and will return to normal temperature once the process is complete.
