Nothing Headphone (1) Receives First Firmware Update with Enhanced Sound Quality and Transparency Mode

Nothing Headphone (1) is now receiving its first firmware update, version 1.0.1.72, just after its launch on July 2, 2025. The update is currently being rolled out, and some users have already started posting the changelog. The total size of this update is 2.09 MB.

This update brings improved sound quality and enhanced audio performance at high volumes. Additionally, transparency mode has been optimized, and refined sound tuning now ensures precise audio even in challenging environments.

To check for this update, open the Nothing X App, navigate to the “About” section, and select “Firmware Update.” If the update is available on your device, you will see the update button highlighted in black. Before updating, ensure that your headphones have at least 30% battery. Do not turn off the headphones during the update process; after it completes, the headphones will restart automatically after the update is complete.

In addition, Nothing has also begun accepting applications for the Android 16 Closed Beta program for the Nothing Phone (3).
