Nothing Headphone (1) gets second update in August with version number 1.0.1.74, bringing volume optimisation and refined transparency mode

Nothing Headphone (1), which launched alongside the Nothing Phone (3), received its first software update (1.0.1.72) in the first week of August. Now, just 15 days later, the company has rolled out a second update carrying version number 1.0.1.74.

The update is fairly small at 2.09 MB and mainly addresses a few issues. According to the changelog, it optimises the volume and refines the transparency mode.

The rollout has already begun for select users, though availability may vary by region. As with most over-the-air updates, it could take a few days before it reaches all devices. Those who haven’t received the update notification yet are advised to check periodically in the Nothing X app or wait for the rollout to expand.

To check for the update, open the Nothing X app, go to the About section, and select Firmware Update. If the update is available, the update button will appear highlighted in black. Ensure your headphones have at least 30% battery before starting the process. Do not turn them off during the update, and once the installation is complete, the headphones will restart automatically.
